Tioman Ferry Schedule

Post Number:#1  Postby maplin » Thu Sep 05, 2013 10:09 am

Hi all,

The last time when I planned to dive in Tioman, the early morning ferry schedule was different every week. One week, the 1st ferry depature from Mersing was at 6.30am and the following week was at 9.30am. Not sure why!
Im planning a trip on the 16th Sept, so can anyone tell me what time the 1st ferry will depature from Mersing?

And is there any website that I can refer to for the daily schedule?

Thanks you in advance.

maplin i tell you the tioman ferry schedule suck bigtime!!!
They give you schedule but they wont stick to the plan.
Your best bet is to come early to the jetty and book the ferry right away.
By 5am~6am there already staff waiting to give the ticket.

Especially when it comes to malaysia's holiday week, you have to be there early. Furthermore with cost of diving RM200 FEE from Johor park, i bet most singaporean are now heading to tioman instead of Aur/dayag/Sibu.

call BLUE WATER EXPRESS : +607 - 799 4811/ 799 8518 a day before for more accurate schedule..
they can cancel the earliest boat due to low tide, and even then, the next boat won't leave on time.. nothing is on time in malaysia! hahaha

i learned a few thing while waiting for a ferry/speed boat..........to an island
- the ferry/speed boat will always late, only once in the blue moon they will be on time.....why?
maybe because of the low tide / high tide.......or maybe because the people on the island never bother to wear a watch and not rushing to do anything, laid back environment.........
you are on vacation....so
Rilek brader brader rilex
Rilek brader brader rilex
Rilek brader brader rilex lah..

just go with the flow.....

Amoung other issues, no doubt, one important consideration is the sand bar. Depending on the boats draft, they will need a certain water depth to clear, and this will be greater if there are big swells (close to monsoon time).
Tide tables are available, and may be worth checking.
I'm sure however it also depends on number of passengers, whether the Captain has already eaten, etc etc

From my recent trip to Tioman everything was fine, they inform the passenger the delay and surprisingly they served you hot towel, Mc Dog meal while waiting in the fully Acc lobby with 24 Astri channel on projector.

What else you can ask for?
