Dear all   ,

Just few days ago i went come back from my diving trip in Pom Pom Island Resort near Celebes Sea... diving was fun and awesome... this area there are 5 island that we can go diving around and many dive site we can explore.

Most of the dive site is rich of Macro Dive.... the island itself was like paradise island... you can enjoy long walk trip along the beach and it was not crowded like Mabul Island.

Any question, please feel free asking me..... :cheesy:

Cheers..

Hello Narco,

Yes, some dive site here there is broken coral because of dynamite fishing long long time ago.... but i saw some people doing the coral planting/ artificial reef and there is effort to make conservation surrounding the island and sea. Visibility was really good.... never less than 15 meter.... i saw many new coral starting to growing up and many soft coral as well.. peaceful place and quiet. You can check through trip advisor as well...

cheers.. :cheesy:

Ive been to Pom Pom 6 times. And there are two resorts. The high end Pom Pom irsland Resort and the popular CBR.
A lot of macro and a lot of mandarin fishes hiding in the coral rubble.
Night dive is great there.

I stayed in CBR for 6 times. Never stayed in Pom Pom Island Resort...
NOTHING GREAT WAS EVER ACHIEVED WITHOUT ENTHUSIASM

Hello...  :azn: :azn:

Yes... Pom Pom Island has 2 resort there ... Pom Pom Island Resort and Celebes Beach Resort... i realize there is CBR when i join the night walk looking for sea turtle laying the eggs ... depends on the session .... walking at night time there is really interesting because we can see a lot of stars at sky and some firefly  :cheesy:

good news for divers... the Staff from Pom Pom Island Resort told me that end of Nov 2012 they will install Nitrox

Cheers...
