Longer dive time and shorter surface interval.  ;)
That what I read & heard, the rest i think need to answer you after my course...lol.
I basically think would be nice to have another option or method of diving when opportunity comes along. Its good to learn something new now and than.

i use up air very fast when i dive, typical profile--start at 25m then go up, up, most times at 15m then 9m then safety stop, for me it comes down to about 47-51 mins tops! every time!

so somebody suggests that i do Nitrox it will enable me to prolong my dive time.

if thats you, i gurantee u it WILL NOT change! i dive with air also like that, with Nitrox also same.

the only benefit i can attest is that after a 4 dive day, i will not feel shagged! that is the only benefit.

the fee is expensive per tank, u have to check the mixture yourself then sign off a form yourself--PADI recomm.

got max depth per mixture. must remem to adjust your dive comp after checking mixture. (norm 32-36 % O2) oh yeah, calibrate your analyser each time also?

one time do do until i forgot my camera!

a lot of hassle-lah bro....

i spent RM500 for the course incl material, now only use occasionally. and i am still 47-51 mins...sigh

Many many dive shops in KL offers Nitrox classes....

Breathing techniques and stamina need to improve, then air can last longer....
happy to be back....

Hello people, Thanks decimal for the experience sharing. Yep, decimal is right. It would really help u to dive longer. That is based upon ur breathing technique. Enriched air is not meant for deep dive. The high o2 content will give trouble if u dive too deep as ur ppo2 level will spike up.

Enriched air will help u to increase ur no stop time at depth thou. For experience and knowledge, good.

i consider myself very fit! i run 5 km a day 4 days a week. i play squash competitively. but somehow even when i consciously take in air and relax before i exhale i end up gasping for air. worse if i dive deep.

only slightly better if i am not shooting pictures. i have 320 dives

i am 5' 7"--- 78 kilos--54 yrs--male nope Nitrox did not help at all. only less shagged after a 4 dive day that' s the only thing i noticed.

breathing technique and fit only wont help  :D

the key to best air consumption is get comfortable underwater (can control buoyancy very very well.. example not move an inch during deco or safety stop. very relax body.. learn proper kicking technique.. always glide instead of kick and fin, trim properly, hover properly)

2nd, physically fit and good stamina.

when you have master all the above, 1 12l tank can last you 100 minutes easily.

some people can really breath like a fish.. my dive guide in Philippines dive with us to 60m. total dive time 71minutes. he surface up with 150 bar on twin tank. is like not breathing at all  :D :D

fuh lucky u said twin tank. If single tank i reckon he went for a free diving instead of scuba diving.

yeah somebody here suggested twin tanks before. next time i try. most DM have very good air consumption or else clients will complain. in Lembeh most of them after coming up with me all have 150 bars.

@reztitan, sorry bro' completely OT yr post.
