i use the luggage bag from mydin with added luggage straps bought in daiso rm5 each.
been to philippines and indonesia with no problem.
for local travel i use the meshbag and trolley-mama-go-pasar. cost me RM20 for the trolley.
the only downfall using these items, ur buddies will keep harrasing you as a cheapskate.
The other thing , during transportation. My only nightmare is the tioman bluewater service.
They throw the bags like coconut ball and they stack the bags with no hesitation.
I understand big bags are heavy for them so they need to swing the bags in motion to get the momentum running.

I'd like to point you towards this little Scuba gear online webstore which sells the lesser "glamour" branded goods.
www.scubatexpro.com

I am a gaya+budget kind of person. So for my regs & bc, i bought new apeks and frog. My fins, 2nd hand indedstructible jet fins from ebay., nice close circuit smb (6"x6ft) for RM50 from ebay, wetsuit 3mm also from ebay, RM200 delivered from UK (suit made in China... what else is not eh?) I DIY some of the stuff like my spool and my stainless steel backplate. but for the rest of the accessory, it is just to cheap and can just buy from this scubatexpro place.  these are things that dont really matter all that whole much, like mesh bag, fins trap, mask strap, octo holders, etc. as long as they are not a major piece of equipment or takes up a large visual aspect of your gear, they slips in nicely with your other premium gear.

I believe I have done my research well for gear hunting.
1.MIDE
2. www.malaysianunderwater.com (classifieds)
3. www.scubasg.com (classifieds)
4. Brick and mortar shops
5. Other malaysian or singapore based online stores, too many to list; (albeit most of the time you have to call in to get better understanding of things you wanna get)
6. ebay
7. Asking your dive instructor to order for you (they get a better discount and they can personally teach you how to use it, like a brand of dive he/she is already using)
8. Nothing like touching, testing, feeling of the gear by walking into a brick and mortar shop, especially when purchasing imaging gear or the essential gearl; regs, bcs, etc (at least for the first time.)

http://www.scubatexpro.com/products.php?cat=36
this link is for the bags. I am not sure what bag you are looking for, but the mesh bag is what I use to keep my gear when diving locally. A fully enclosed nylon bag tends to stink it up pretty fast if your gear is not properly washed (i soak and wash mine in a bathtub with baby bath ;P ).  And since its online, its pretty much a click and you will be brought to your shopping cart with the shipping charges included and you can pay with paypal... and voila, it will be on your doorstep for collection within a week.

happy shopping.
