Either Olympus XZ-1 or EPL-2 try out will be held at Sea Monkey pool at PJ Palms (Formerly known as Kelab syabas) on 13 February 2011. Everyone are welcome to test the unit. Just pay for the pool fees and get the camera for testing.

Also there will be GF-1 and LX3 try out for those who wanna try out and get a result from a Leica lens

Each person will be allocated around 10 minutes per cycle (can test several time lah) if there are many wanted to test the unit.

Please put your name here for an advance booking for the try out.

Ketam and Nette are hopefully going to check out the camera.... really interested on the Zuiko lens and Supermacro mode.... only seen them on Sony series before but the sony housing is useless underwater for supermacro.

Anybody want to come over for chat and 2011 dive planning... lets do an impromptu TT session.... or we can ask Macha do a show and tell hehehe.

hi bobo
really interested in the macro ability of this camera.
what do u think?
is the lcd bright enough?
can the front ring-dial be controlled with the housing??

thanx

got this from http://www.uwphotographyguide.com/olympus-xz-1-review

pros :TTL in full manual mode is supported, unlike the Canon S95 or G12.

Cons : poor macro performance in normal macro mode, a supermacro mode that does not support zooming or use of the internal flash, and an LCD screen that is a little dark when the manual settings underexposure the image. Keep in mind that for supermacro mode, you can't fire strobes via a fiber optic cable.
