BESUT: Two local men  drowned while another,  a foreign tourist, was missing at  sea off Pulau Perhentian Besar, near Long Beach here, yesterday afternoon.
The bodies of the two were found by rescuers at 3pm. The victims have yet to be identified.

Kuala Besut assemblyman Dr A Rahman Mokhtar said the foreign tourist had earlier tried to help the two who were swept away by the waves.

However, he, too, was swept away.

Those who would like to come to Perhentian during this month are warned that the sea conditions remain unpredictable...sometimes it is  very calm in the morning  but suddenly turns choppy in the afternoon...It is expected to be better in April.
