Tips on Jarak.

Well, firstly since you'll be doing your OW there, I don't think you'll be diving anywhere else but at Moray's Harem. And since weather is still uncertain, the Kaleebso will be moored there most of the time (other than that would be a dive or two at the Pinnacle).

Keep your eyes out for Morays..lots of them there. There should still be that resident Batfish which is over-friendly. There are lots of Longfin Bannerfish and Red-Toothed Triggerfish (they're blue in colour and have luna-shaped caudal fins a.k.a tail). Since you may not be doing night dives, I don't have to warn you about the extra banyak long-spined sea urchins. Found that out the hard way.  Keep your eyes open near the surface for those huge sailfishes too. Nazimkecik was spooked by one last year.

Apa lagi?

Oh...bila kat bottom tu, watch the Kaleebso above and how Fusiliers like to swim to the Kaleebso's starboard side. Watch what drops from that side of the Kaleebso. ;D

Ironore:
Some pointers:

Trigger Fish: On a bad day especially nesting season and within their territories, they might attack. But not all are like that. Sometimes they just dont bother

Seasick pills: Buy "Novomin", its really good. All pharmacist has it. Even myself use Novomin everyday in an LOB trip

Hovering: Good hovering, is abt proper breathing technique and weights. To do that is PRACTICE, PRACTICE ie Dive more

Mask: Most important rule, whether its fits ur face nicely and firmly

Hope that helps...cheers! :) :)

waa that trigger fish got one hell of a reputation ya..  got a lot of heads up regards to it.

'novomin' ya ok will try.. because last boat trip gi fishing tengah laut area tg karang 99 dolu dolu pergghh fail sbb 'pentoi' potong terus...

ok getting myself prepared and trow nak start packing dah he he

oh one more thing... the mask aa always foggie la.. memang standard ka or ada tekniks yang boleh di apply so dat tak la selalu kena clear... asyik asyik kena clear asyik2 kena clear..

as of now the new mask is being soak with colgate.. or ada cara lain..

perak local said, layor die dengan api yeop... or better buy a used mask more than 4 years of using, trust me...

colgate couldnt do much. masa nak dive ok la..but for long term better u layor the lens with api.

this is because there are thin layer at the lens bertujuan untuk protect lens tu masa mask tu dibuat, kalau dak calor ler yeop.

so to buang the thin layer, you have to layor with api, can use lighter. tanya your instructor, he will teach you. atau dia pun tak tau??? hehehe  ;D

clearing mask all the time serves as good practise... hehe.....
btw, why is your mask soaked in colgate?? i thought u are supposed to rub colgate over it then rinse and not soak it... do it a few times before your dive trip......
between dives, u can use saliva as fast solution to foggy mask..... ;D

Hi Ironore,

Whats effective for me for fogging mask is 'Axion'. Yup the dishwashing soap (not the gel type). Just apply to the mask lense and rinse.. presto! NO mask fogging for the rest of the dives. Try it.. could b good for u.

Cheers!
