hi all. Newbie here but not in scuba

Post Number:#1  Postby deep_end » Fri Oct 20, 2006 11:57 am

hi everyone, thanks for the invite (can't remember from who) which went through Friendster :)

Been diving since '95, Padi OW, Naui everything else to DM. Part-time hobby - coral propagation and shrimp breeding in aquaria. This may be a sensitive topic in a scuba site, but reef aquarists are much more well-versed in marine life than most instructors and even course directors I've met.

When I just joined this site this morning, I browsed thru the intro posts, and got a bit lost with the Bahasa that was used in here. Just couldn't figure out 70-80% of the Bahasa that was being used even though I studied traditional Malay in school a long time ago. This put me off quite a bit, and I was tempted to just quit from the forum. But then, there are also those that write in English and "normal" Malay so I decided I could live with that. Hope I don't stir up a hornet's (lebah lebah?) nest in here, guys, especially with my 1st post.

Cheers and dive safe

Bucko

Welcome. Cool...you can guide me when I dive then. I'm still a newbie.

Thanks people, for d welcome.

Seademon, even after we've dived for years, we still learn on each dive, so to a certain extent, we're all still newbies ;)
