DC for OW course in Pen.Malaysia

Post Number:#1  Postby Nicole » Thu Jun 07, 2012 11:42 am

Warm greetings to all the seniors here. I'm a newbie - not even a certified diver. BUT, im planning to do my OW course in this coming July!!  :)

Any recommend DC in Pen.Malaysia? Probably is located at P.Redang/P.Tioman? I've a few DC in my list. But, might need some advice before i go for it. Then, it is much easier for me to look for a deal at MIDE.

Hello Nicole and welcome. Glad to know that u have the interest to dive. There a lot of good DC out there and some of the members are from reputable DC in the country as well.

In term of prices, it is all 'nearly the same'. But do dig out more for quality. Good DC will be attentive to their student (be it male or female student, good looking or not!!) and will always be patient especially if they were doing a 'crash course'. Good teaching will produce good student. Feel free to PM any of us so that we can make suggestions and stuff.

All the very best and happy diving. Dive responsibily ya!

you can google to check out the DC around redang and perhentian. basically they a similar course but at a different price as it varies from the accommodation, meals, equipments, and days of course. make sure you go through what they include in the fees.

if you have not done discovery dives, maybe its wise to take a course that provides you with pool sessions as it will build your confidence before letting you into the open sea. a pool session cuts out many factors you might encounter in the sea and is under a more ideal learning condition.

if not opt for a DC that has a pool at the resort.

happy diving and all the best:)
