Remember this pic of you practising in Shah Alam pool?

When east coast diving season opens, we shall take more pics of you out in the ocean, ah?
May you teach us to manage our breathing better too. So we save more air and longer dives... ;-)

Hello Bro.

I went there by land. Took the bus from KL to Hat Yai, then to Trang and then to Koh Lanta.

1 day trip, start at 2300hrs in Kl and arrive in Lanta at about 1700hrs the next day.

Yup. you dont have to bring equipment. But if you have you own personnal mask, snorkel and fin and wetsuit. bring it. you be more comfortable with your own equipment.

Accomodation cari sendiri. Please correspond with Blue Planet. thay can arrange the accomodation for you. if you have good budget, i reccomend a place called Funky Fish. a good place to stay.

Koh lanta is far from the city. but if you take the bus, you will transit in Hat Yai. i reccomend you stay one night here. a lot of things to see and buy...heh..handphones are cheap...and you can buy my thai porn for me also...heh.

Please refer to the below map .

You may be trained at Koh Ha, nice place that island.

sakit, sakit...but interesting journey. a view if thailand everyday life, not a view from airports, taxis and hotel. that is what you get and see if you backpack.

best,best...only for the connoisseur.

Pardon my ignorance but you need to take a course in Yoga and this one then suffer the journey just to hold your breath underwater??

Wow! Must really be worth it but Memphisto, I remember seeing you doing a free dive like a pro on this forum not too long ago..did you do this course as well??

the yoga is not compulsary, they are just capitalizing on the Yoga craze thats is going on.
in fact what they do can be termed as intensive streching, just to loosen and relax those muscles. and also get the the breathing technique right

its really worth it Henry. dont know how to describe...manyak syok wooo....

yup did this course. please refer to the beginning of the tread for my memoirs.

During ur AIDA 1star freediving course, did the instructor teach u "packing"?
Jus now i try at the pool, ah...  [-(feel like compacting the lung and it tend to cough out. Very uneazy feeling. :angry4:
Wat is "packing" all about?
Wat is packing injury? The consequences?
The correct way to do it?

haiyaa..lu manyak advance la brother.

Packing or as we call it KARPA is to use your mouth as a pump to compress the the air in to the lungs.
the purpose of packing is to have more air in the lungs.
the correct way to do it? difficult to explain, must show it to you face to face.
incorrect packing can result in injury such as the tearing of the diaphgram. manyak sakit looo.
to do packing without getting injured you must HAVE a very elastic rib cage. there is where yoga and not smoking plays a part.
i dont practice packing because my ribcage is not elastic thus if i do packing it will be detrimentel to my performance as the discomfort will negitiate the advantage.

I do the packing like a "goldfish gulping" and compress the air inside the lung.
How m i going to knw how many "pack" i need to do to avoid packing injury?
And hor... how they really measure the lung capacity and the residual volume of the lung?

to measure that you need specialist instrument. good medical or sports medical facilities should have it.

dont underestimate your self. you will be surprise.

anyway, we usually train at Bandar Tun Razak pool...the one opposite HUKM....they have a 5m diving pool. thats the deepest you can get in KL. unless the MAN wants to do a facility like SETT or Nemo33...that will b the day.

just come laa...fun fun...if not for the excersize....when will you get your GARAS?
