A weak earthquake has occurred with these revised parameters:

Time of Occurrence : 11:42am on 10 December 2008

Coordinates : 4.3 North 118.5 East

Location : Kalimantan, [glow=red,2,300]42km East of Tawau.[/glow]

Magnitude : 3.2 on Richter scale


Assessment

No tremors felt reported.

This is a revision of the earthquake information issued at 5.50am.

A strong earthquake has occurred with these revised parameters:

Time of Occurrence : 5:40am 12 December 2008

Coordinates : 1.1 South 124.9 East

Location : Molucca Sea. 285km south of Manado,Indonesia. 961km southeast of Tawau

Magnitude : 6.3 on Richter scale

No tsunami threat

A strong earthquake has occurred with magnitude 7.1 on Richter scale in Java,Indonesia at 3.55 pm on 2 September 2009. The earthquake epicenter is located at 8.0 south latitude and 107.4 east longitude, 1070km southwest of Tebedu, Sarawak; 160km south of Bandung. Tsunami warning has been issued.

For the divers and dive centers on the east coast islands, Layang-Layang, Labuan, take note that the worst is not over.

FIRST CATEGORY WARNING
WARNING ON STRONG WINDS AND ROUGH SEAS

STRONG WIND AND ROUGH SEAS WARNING (FIRST CATEGORY)


Strong Southwesterly winds of 40 - 50 kmph and rough seas with waves up to 3.5 metres over waters off Phuket, Perlis, Kedah, Pulau Pinang, Samui, Kelantan, Terengganu, Condore, Reef North, Layang-layang, FT Labuan and Sabah are expected to continue until Saturday, 3 October 2009.

This condition of strong winds and rough seas is dangerous to small crafts, recreational sea activities and sea sports.
