Erm.. have you guys seen the book entitled 'The Art of Diving' by Nick Hanna and Dr Alex Mustard? I think the book is a 'must' buy. Lots of great images and underwater stuffs. Very good companion to your afternoon tea or even teh tarik. And best of all, if you are no longer interested in it...it becomes a great coffee table book....

Highly recommended...check it out...

cheers

Apologies for the missing pictures. I've renamed them but can't seem to update my first post (Mod? boleh tolong?)

Anyway.. apart from all the other books that you guys have mentioned (which sadly I don't seem to carry at the moment)

Might I introduce to you this book instead!

Image[

Here is an extract from the book.

"Whether you are a diver, a snorkeller or just want the best in beach holidays, Dive In Style marries the ultimate in hotels and resorts with amazing diving and snorkelling from around the world. This stylish book devotes 288 pages and over 740 colour images to just 25 destinations, from the Mediterranean to the Maldives, Australia to the Caribbean. With in depth reports on the Hotel, the Dive Centre, as well as the diving and snorkelling, together with an abbreviated and convenient ‘At a Glance’ table, weather information and much more, this book will tell you all you need to know whether you are a diver, a snorkeller or just want an amazing holiday."

If your interested in the book, do let me know...
Cheers
Ivan.

The Art Of Diving brings together award winning photographer Alexander Mustard with leading author Nick Hanna in a remarkable book, which captures the soul of scuba diving and takes the experience of being underwater to new imaginative levels. Their work combines a wealth of beautiful and remarkable underwater photography, together with captivating explanations of the lure of the oceans. Together they reveal exactly what Jacques Cousteau meant when he claimed that ‘underwater, man becomes an archangel.

Scuba diving is one of the most popular adventure sports on the planet, with over 20 million people qualified to explore the world beneath the waves. More than just a sport and a physical challenge, scuba diving takes people into another dimension and exerts a magnetic influence which gets them quickly addicted.

Every dive is different, a fresh experience, enthralling us and drawing us back into the magic world of the oceans again and again. Once a sport dominated by macho feats of depth and endurance, diving has matured into something more meaningful – an art form requiring agility and grace.

Both author and photographer share the same fresh stimulating approach, breathing new life into such topics as keeping kit simple and perfecting buoyancy control as well explaining the art of fish watching and how to make the most of meetings with remarkable creatures.

The Art of Diving is also about the spirit of the seas, freediving, the spiritual dimensions of being underwater as well as considering the fate of the oceans and the threats facing the marine environment today.

Whether you are an advanced diver, aspiring beginner or have yet to experience your first dive, welcome to the Artof Diving and adventure in the underwater world.

With 272 pages and more than 200 photographs, The Art of Diving has been designed as a book to savour and linger over. Not a ‘how to’ book about diving, instead it aims to celebrate the Zen-like soul of diving.
