hey all,

I'm planning to get a suunto stinger. I found that the stinger is actually quite good. Any comment on the stinger?  :P

my simplest recommendations and ideas..... stinger is something that has been in the market for quite sometime and the durability is unquestionable... to wear it as if you're among those in the oldschool and look-a-like senior.... tough, rugged and not many complaints......

but at the same time i do suggest you to have a look for Suunto D6..... something that is not new but... unique, rugged, durable, modern and got extra accessories and functions compared to stinger......

you can PM to Irukanji..... he has it all.... from stinger (limited gold edition... kalau ada lagi lah...) and also D6...... all the best...

thanks

Add-on advice: Stinger stopped production by Suunto, take note for future repairing or servicing consideration.  ;)

it is important to ask about warranty procedures. i am sure although the stinger is out of production spare parts and servicing is available.
a product which its life cycle has ended will still have a time frame for aftersales support before it is also terminated.

the stinger is a VERY reliable dive computer time has proven this.... FACT is the D6 has got tons of problems! (from in dive reset, to depth sensor giving wrong reading & etc)
having said that however, suunto is working very hard in correcting the firmware.

again do ask about warranty procedures. MOST of the time you'll have to bear the courier charges to Finland... regardless of a Stinger or D6.
