Casio PROTREK PRG-130

Post Number:#1  Postby blue_ocean » Mon Oct 13, 2008 5:08 pm

Hi ya folks..
I hope someone can help me on this. I got a friend who's interested in getting the Casio ProTrek PRG-130, and he wants the metal chain version of the watch. The dealer said it can be used for diving, but I told my friend better to get the rubber strap. So my question is this, is it still good enough even if the watch has metal wristband instead of the rubber wristband? Thanks...  :)

I have a Casio G-shock but not the exact model...with metal strap n have bring it down to dive at 35m...

metal or rubber strap just your personal preference...metal might be more durable than rubber.....

You can used it for diving but it is not a dive computer u know...

i usually use my casio for my bottom time only (thru stopwatch function)...not sure if the model Casio PROTREK PRG-130 can detect depth.....

my advice is ....u go get a proper dive computer if u want to use it for diving...

honestly..to me (D4) it was fantastic DC..i have done and tested during my dive last 8-11 oct @ redang..it's work..very clear dive profile..alert during your surface interval as well, it's take care of you..so far never ever spoiled me.. easy to understands the functions.. just half way to read the manual  :D, but in general you really know that with your fingers..just tab!!
