...and what type to buy?

Does it matter if the BCD is for men?  or should I get BCD for women?

look for something that fits your body...
look for something that could offer want you want..
look for something that ez maintainance & travel light..

BCD for women normally have the size & figures for women..
but in case you want to sell it in the future..you can only sell it to females only..

its better you do a research before you buy any of the product..

After having several wrong purchase of BCD myself, I'd suggest that you try your prefered BCD on, feel it and if possible dive with it before making any decision.  ;)

Best to get backplate & wing type BC.
Unisex
Fits all types of bodies
Easy trim control
No squeeze when fully inflated
Very popular........easy to sell when you want change or upgrade any part or as a whole system

:)
Anyone can do a dive to 100m or more.....
But how many will return alive???

ditto to that - this type of bc will even fit those with odd body sizes ie  woman with a man's body, or vice versa.

or like me, with a forever expanding waistline.

Agree with Sicko and DP. Shud try out the wing and backplate BCD. If backplate looks too "hardcore", u can try soft harness. Alot of females in the forum uses those types. U can try in the pool (of which we have pool sessions quite often), then decide whether its OK 4u.

Its unisex, light, easy maintenance, very streamline and fits most physique

Cheers! :glasses9:
