The perfomance is a good as other branded reg. Brought it at depth 35meter and didn't felt any problem with the air flow.
Most divers feel tired bitting on the mouthpiece of the 2nd stage and not only that, it is sometime
gets difficult to moves the head to the right and left cause you are afraid the mouthpiece would
come out from your mouth and so the swivel 360 allows the divers to easily moves the 2nd stage without tiring the mouth.
This design i think came before the m-flex hose arrives in the market.
There are 5 LP on the swivel which means you can easily choose which ports you would prefer to easily access your reg hose.

Though you will need to practise more on your reg recovery cause the layout of your LP hose are now different from the reg you used to practise during your Open water.
Do remember that it is 360 swivel and so if suddenly the reg comes out from your mouth underwater, your reg could be spinning around while you are trying to recover it but this depends on how you want to assemble the 1st stage.
Some divers like the rubber sealed to be at the bottom while some likes it at the top.
Here is one the thread about SR1.
http://malaysianunderwater.com/smff/regulators/sherwood-sr-1/

Base on the manual, it shows the sealed on the top. (page 11)
http://static.scubalibre.ro/demomag/grafica/pdf/7625/SR1%20User%20Manual.pdf

The cost for maintance are less expensive than other regs. Some of its interior parts
are common with other sherwood.

Here are their service manual
www.frogkick.dk/manuals/sherwood/SR1_Service_Manual_1st_Stage_09.pdf
ps: please send to authorised dealer and dont do it yourself. Just ask what are the parts that require to change
so that you know the pricing.

I'm using Sherwood SR1 Regulator at the moment and it works very well... :D you can roll your back and still breath like usual without afraid of water coming into your regulator...  :D beside that your mouth wont be feeling too dry and thirsty... easy purge button... I'm fully satisfied with this piece of equipment...  :D :D :D

Thanks mates for your kind response and feedback. I've decided to get it, wanted something below 2k and based on some reviews this regulator's performance is value for money. Looking forward to get my set and be diving redang when I return for raya. Thanks.
