Hi Guys,

Do you know where I can find a Jax mouth piece? Scuba dynamics is outta stock, although they do carry Sea-cure mouth piece,as do Rainbow Runner. Any ideas? I know it's more or less the same thing but I'm quite fixed on the Jax.  :icon_tongue: Anyone??  [-( [-(

Hi, it's not more or less the same thing. There's a difference!!!
I have owned & used both and prefer the seacure because :
1) Quality is better.
2) The breathing port of the seacure is larger and could deliver more air. I was gasping for more air and my WOB increased when I used the JAX on a dive to 40m.......I junked it after surfacing and used the original mouthpiece I brought as spare.

Put them both side by side and you will see what I mean........  :)
BTW, I am using Apeks regs and have switched all my mouthpieces to seacure.
Anyone can do a dive to 100m or more.....
But how many will return alive???

Hi!

Ive bought both Jax and Sea-Cure. My personal experience,

Jax has narrower width & shorter. If you have smaller Jaw (not the shark movie Jaws), go with Jax. I heard fm some1 (cant remember who) that Jax had a recall not so long ago due to the plasticky (??) smell. I dont have dat problem. So I cant comment on dat.

Sea-cure is longer & wider. Thus, more suitable for bigger jaw. Noticed that Sea cure is definately larger in size as well coz, I cant use the mouthpiece clip  (to attach it to the reg). However, Jax did not have dat problem.

So its up to your personal usage. I wont say Jax or SeaCure is better. But, id prefer Jax over Seacure just bcoz, it fits me well.  B-)

Go with something that fits ur physically.. and also.. walletly... hahahaha... Happy shopping!
