i guess both are designed with technical diving in mind.

have used both regs. apeks is a fine reg but the atomic..
  • lightweight
  • has a swivel body which helps with hose placement or setup
  • better stock mouthpiece than the apeks
  • breath like a dream, maybe it's Automatic Flow Control?

apeks,
  • looks cool ..

sorry, can't offer any advice to you on these.

i think for tech diving, towards GUE oriented, swiwel is regarded as additional point of failure :)
cheers...

No matter to go for GUE or not...my concern is the reg that can go for tech and easy/cheap to maintain it.. :P i always keep my option open...to tech or Gue or what ever.

Equipment can go to those depths, but your body might not be able to..
