Hi clsiang,

I am also using a Mares 2nd skin shorty. Not much to comment. I like it because it's not really that thick; suitable for diving in our region. But sometimes, I wish I would have bought a full suit........

i own a pair of those 2nd skin shorty. Feels comfortable diving in it but be careful for the velcro part. The glue came off easily & had to re-glue twice using "gam gajah"  [-(

it is more for protection. Some divers are quite of no matter what dive condition lies ahead of them. Some are not. There are divers who can't withstand insect bites and stuff. Plus, full suit can actually help to protect you from jellyfish (which i'm sure some have a very nasty experience with) or cut's from sharp objects (especially if you do wreck/too close with corals/boats.. etc) and not too forget, it will also keep you warm (unexpected thermocline??).

A good suit on a diver = good looking and very stylo also! You need to look good for the fish.. hehe

Narco is right. A full suit will surely provide better protection against all the jellyfish, sharp objects, thermocline etc! Furthermore, your legs will not be "half-tanned" after a long dive trip. It happened to me and honestly, it looked kinda weird.  :icon_tongue:

But the most important factor is......as Narco mentioned, you must look GOOD & STYLO in it! Hahahaha.....

I would normally either:

1. Not wearing the suit during the last dive - just hang it to dry or
2. put it overnight under the fan .. haha

Just one thing that i don't like about full suit, wearing it can be quite a pain in the ass. Especially when u are on SI mode waiting for another dive in between an hour or less, need to fulfill ur personal urge and rush to prep ur equipment while catching up with other fellow divers and at the same time have to deal with the whole process of wearing the whole suit.. hehe
