When I was bought it, i used to dive with my reg at least 30 dives....proses cleaning mcm biasa...lepas balik dari diving on last september i used to rendam it, then siram dgn air paip. After jemur, i used to sapu grease on it. Then i keep it in my reg beg...any suggestion how to keep lebih baik?? I'll appreaciate if you can share it with me...
Cheers!

Hi kaymind....3 months sounds fair,If Im not mistaken you're using a Cressi Sub Ellipse Unbalanced piston reg... but if you could open the body of your 2nd stage, have a look inside whether there's salt crystals.

          Image
this is a Cressi Sub Ellipse 2nd stage, but its a bit tricky to disassemble the unit

          Image
try pressing the purge lever to check whether it's smooth or not...this 1 is salt free & good condition  ;)

If you have access of  full  scuba tank, assemble your reg & try...check the regulator IP intermediate pressure.
Manufacturers normally recommend regulators send for servicing after 1 year or every 100th dive or which ever comes 1st.

But if you decide to sent it for service ...Brickfields Fella available now, infact servicing a few sets now.

Wait till you see the 1st stage....hahaha more mess  :D anyway you can pass it to me for servicing since Im in KL.
This is what i'll do to your Reg :
1) Test with air on...check the IP
2) Disassemble your reg 1st & 2nd stage
3) Leave it in Ultrasonic machine to get rid of salt crystals, check your O rings, HP seat, all hoses, SPG's...change any parts if nescesary
4) Clean, dry & lube parts with silicone grease.
5) Assemble unit & check IP & calibrate 2nd stage so it wont free flow.
6) Fill in Service Report Form.....settle  ;)

You could try your reg 1st before any payments, will take picture of internal parts of regs condition...call me for more info 0193145820

I always send my reg for servicing during fasting month
Normally I will send it to the dealer as they know and they well verse about the spare parts and  what need to change.  I guess once a year is good enuf to send for servicing.  Even my BCD also i send for service once a year.  Then i test the equipment during one of the pool session.  Just incase if something is not right I can send it back to the dealer before my diving trip.
