yeah i second that, what do u like to see? shoot?

Pulau Weh??? well i would skip that. it did not do anything for me.did not take many pictures either. and the ppl there only dive 2 dives a day. but it could be just me..

Bali wrt to Molas..got season one. after Oct they may not be so easily spotted. but for other critters yes i highly recomm.

ditto for Manado/Lembeh..

Sipadan--must go at least once to see what everybody raves about.

eh bro' u did not mention Phuket/Similan/A.S.K?

ASK--Anemone Reef, Shark Point, King cruiser Wreck--its a day trip from Chalong pier (south-east of Phuket) to visit 3 sites. from Nov to May excellent visibility, good diving, and of course being in thailand...excellent food!!

Similan Islands is northwest of Phuket, usually a LOB though day-trips from Khaolak is possible. it means 9 islands..but..since 3 islands are out-of-bounds due tsunami rehabilitation and turtle sanctuary, they should rename it Enam islands eh?? or has my maths gone bad? if you should plan to go make sure your tour covers Richelieu rock !!! don't say i nvr say ok? mantas are the highlights there.

otherwise leopard sharks/white tips are the usual pelagics on the above itinerary. macro not that much.

right now, Padang Bai (did not see even one!) north-east Bali , is my flavour of the month--Macro, Mantas, Molas (i have been told by experts that they appear according to the phase of the moon rather than time of year ??)

and night dives at Jepun leave me spell-bound and affordable rates too. (i get airline discount so maybe it is affordable.) Nusa Penidas and Blue Lagoon, sigh, life is almost complete....if only they serve better food. i have often found food here in Bali short of expectations but maybe its just me?

Phuket and Bali is covered by Air-Asia.

Cuti-cuti Malaysia first. Then we go and see places in foreign land. Malaysia have so much to offer and we should tour our own land  :D Help to stimulate local industries and Sipadan is the right place to go.

hahhhh???? nk gi mana?? Bali???? :)

he he he... klu new diver saya recommend di Tulamben ....

Any idea how is the diving in Nusa Dua? Will be there for a holiday staying at Kuta, got a day to dive and planning 2 dives at Nusa Dua or Sanur. The thought or 2.5hrs drive to Tulemban and 2.5hrs back is too tiring! Thanks!

klu nak best, saya rekomen kat Tulamben....
mmg drive 2 jam, tapi berbaloi... u bleh tgk sawah padi, gunung2 sepanjang perjalanan... best utk amek gambar dari van...
di Tulamben u bleh layan 2-3 dive.. sure x boring...

hello I'm new here.. female diver as well.
anyhoo, I want to suggest u to take th 3rd package if you are crazy about macro like me.
you should go to Seraya which Tulamben's best macro spot. If you got an eagle eyed dive guide I betcha will find lots of treasures there.
not forget to mention that the infamous liberty wreck in tulamben has lots collection of huge fishes and if you are lucky enough you'll meet with the 'guard' of liberty wreck -a 2m long barracuda- which surprisingly very very friendly to divers and photographers.
In Amed you'll find the same thing as above.
last but not least you gotta cross your fingers hoping that you could meet mola mola in nusa peninda hihihi

Goodluck and have a real fun in bali !! :smileinbox:

and there goes the problem if you were unlucky u'll meet 50+ divers down there at the wreck.
end of november to couple first weeks of december usually not many divers you can really enjoy the dives.

50 over divers...must be crazy...how to recognize the DM and your team, might end up at different boat....i had experience 20 + divers at a dive site one time, hard to distinguish who are who as i am still new on my open water dive....panics like hell....

Hi everyone....will keep my Liberty Wreck experience short!
Just got back from Bali and the weather was not the best...raining just like here! The drive from Kuta to Tulamben was really long but as we were excited, the drive was berable but the drive back after 2 dives in heavy rain was a slight torture!
As for the dive at Liberty Wreck, it was a good experience for a newbie like me.....going down was a tricky task as the "beach" was filled with pebbles (no sand) and I dive with full footed fins so the DM told me to enter the sea with my slippers and after I got my fins on he kept my slippers somewhere on him ... really nice guy....Rudi was his name (short for Rudita).
The sea was a bit choppy and the there was current closer to the beach making entering and exiting a bit tricky.
But as we got deeper and closer the the wreck, the current was practically dead. Visibility was about 5-8mtrs only due to the weather in Bali during his time of the year (that was what I was told by the locals) and there was not more then 20 divers when we were in.
Yes we were lucky to have met the "guard" of Liberty Wreck......and the marine life was really rich which made our dive really memorable.
We were taken around the wreck on our 1st dive and into the wreck on the 2nd dive.
After finishing our 2nd dive (at about 1.15pm) and before 7 divers went in, the sky opened and the rain just poured with gushing winds!!
There were people who wanted to dive and just gave up due to the weather....
I would do another trip to Liberty Wreck but at a better time of the year and a closer place to stay.....

Share some of my experience.. I have been to Bali twice. 1st trip early oct this yr, 4 days diving. Tulamben/Nusa Penida/Padang Bai. So start with dive site Manta point.. Sadly no mola-mola..  :$
Manage to see 11 manta's though.. :D. They were everwhere.. DM brought us to the cleaning station & we wait for them to show up.. Crystal Bay- black tips/critters. Red Point- drift diving n beginners not advisable to dive here cos the current damn strong la.. Mimpang & Tepekong- white tips & corals.
For Tulamben did 3 dives there. Liberty wreck/coral garden. Liberty wreck is an eye opener. 200 bar not enough to cover the whole wreck. At least 600 bar.. Lots of things to see..!! Coral garden-watch out for trigger fish! Dat was my first trip..

2 weeks ago, a friend of mine held his marriage event at a dive resort at Tulamben. So its a wedding & diving 2 in 1. So there were 30 of us. All are divers. Anyway the resort is by the shore & just 20 meters off from the liberty wreck. We had 2 full days unlimited shore dives & nitrox for free(if u r certified). So there is liberty wreck /coral garden/(cant remember the name. Its a wall dive). All 3 dive sites are amazingly beautiful.. Have to be careful of the wall dive. Set ur dc depth alarm..I was too engrossed admiring the wall that i forget abt my depth. Im nt affiliated with this resort in any way but i suggest u guys check it out. Google tauch terminal.
Dats abt all.. Hope dis helps to anyone contemplating to Bali. I assure u no regrets..

Ps: u guys can add me up at FB to see some pics. Name is Iz Div.
Comply first, complain later...
