Diving in Mediterrainean Sea

Post Number:#1  Postby Quik » Mon Sep 21, 2009 9:45 pm

On job basis, I have the chance to travel to Turkey and during the Raya festival, I went to the mediterrainean coast of South Turkey to a formerly fishing village KAS which now has turned into diving paradise in East Europe.

I have signed up for 4 dives package, after 1st dive yesterday morning almost wanted to cancel the the remaining dives.  Today morning went for another dive.  So, 4 dives pakage I did 2 dives only.

The water has super visibility and calm except today has fairly strong surface current.  The bottom is very boring, dead rocks, few fishes.  The last 2 dives saw few nudi very common type, very small school of jackfish.

Knowing it's meditterrainean sea, I didn't expect much to see, just want to experience the diving in here.

Now, I really miss the tropical water.  We should be glad we have the truely diving paradise surrouding us.

(Sorry, no photos to share becasue I didn't bring my UW casing)

Thanks for the post Quik, local divers do not know how lucky we are are. We should also remember that if we do not take care of our dive sites, we may lose all this.
