Hello,

I looked a lot on the internet and just did my advanced open water course with Dive Concepts a small dive company located in Tulamben.

I was wery happy about the diving but the accomodation is pretty basic, the course was about 250 USD at the time.

Some other people did a course over there thats how I got to kwow them.

Anyway you can check their website to make your own opinion.

www.diveconcepts.com

The village itself is pretty quiet so don't plan to party over there but if your are here for the diving you are at the right place...

Hope some people can benefit from my experience...

Have a good dive,

hi fathiah,

tulamben daily dive is USD95

Tulamben is a little village in the northeast coast of Bali, the beach is black sand covered by smooth, fist-size rocks. The remains of Gunung Agung exploding in 1963 has sent the lava flows along this coastal area. There is a bay here that invites divers to visit this village to explore under water scene. The bay was later known as Tulamben Bay amongst the divers. The excellent diving sites in this bay are Ship Wreck (USAT Liberty Cargo), Paradise Reef and Drop Off (actually rugged wall). These sites are the best beach entry scuba diving in all of Bali, further east about 15 minutes cruising in a small out rigger fishing boat, will bring you to other diving sites known as Alamanda Reef and Batu Kelebit. A car ride 10 minutes further west of Tulamben and you will be in Kubu village with its beach similar in condition to Tulamben Bay offers a diving on the pristine Kubu Reef.

not sure halal food in Tulamben, but i prefer to stay at Sanur.. lots of halal food from Padang, Jawa & Madura stall/restaurant..
mola-mola season will be on mid july-mid oct.. very hard to see mola2 @tulamben..

more information, email me at suhaimi@balidiving.com or sms at 012-3081985.

Hi Guys,

I will be in Kuta, Bali from a couple of days and planning to dive in Bali on 30 April 2011. (Too early for May promo ? :crybaby2:)

Understand that Tulamben is a long 3 hours drive away from my hotel in Kuta. Will appreciate if you sifu-sifu can advise me on the following:

Q1 - Is it possible to have a 2 tank dive in the morning and 1 dive after lunch and still make it back to Kuta for dinner?  (Trying to join my group for Kecak Dance & Dinner.  :P)

Q2 - How much will be costs of 3 dives inclusive of transport from/to Kuta.

Q3 - Will appreciate your help to advise whether there is any other recommended dive sites nearer to Kuta.

Q4 - Alternatively,  do you guys organise Freediving dives?

Q5 - Please advise whether it will be the season for molas?

Thanking you in advance.

Regards,
NW :glasses2:
