I heard its a diving haven, but ppl say current is very strong...btw it require intermediate or advanced? How do u tell? logged dives or certification level? :-?

yeah, current quite strong...but manageable... some need 5mm for a wetsuit. advance should be okay. but with DM assistant,  open water can oso.

never been to komodo, but always wish i cud one day. well, i've seen some people doin expedition there (thanks to national geographic channel). it seems like the current is quite strong since its located in an archipelago in between pacific and indian ocean.

Never been there before, dont know whether it is as ferocious as Nusa penida,Bali...u can even see the current is moving like air terjun..

Yes, Komodo is mostly drift dive and at some place current can be fierced,  a reef hook is strongly recommended for u/w photographer  :) the water between july-november is cold ( 21-25 degree Celcius), there are some sites that are suitable for beginners, again that depends on the local dive site knowledge of the DM's.  But every dive is stunning, the island itself is breathtaking (apalagi kalau being chased by a 3 m dragon.... ;D)

Haha! One DC here's been trying to get me to go for Komodo LOB trip. I saw the pics and videos...excellent place. But like Evo said...capek mau cari uang.

It's a great place but not for the weak at heart.. NIce, virgin reefs.. occasional pelagic and a macro heaven.. Was there and i highly recommand to others.. All you need is a gd boat and guides..
