Post Number:#1  Postby Ajoy » Thu Nov 08, 2012 8:15 pm

hi guys & gals,

planning on doing both lembeh & bunaken next year. Appreciate if anyone can share their experiences, give recommendations. particularly on accomodation, food, how to get there, dive centers, local or mat salleh dive guides etc.
anyone has been to twofish, bastianos or daniel's homestay since these guys have both accomodation at lembeh & bunaken?

peace!!!

Hi Ajoy,

Lembeh you can try NAD Lembeh it's based on photography resort and provided foreigner or local DM with good eye spots. Twofish kind of expensive tho, but is up to you. Why I recommended NAD Lembeh, because the house reef is just amazing and the rest of the dive sites are not too far from the resort, so it good to save more time.

Let me know if you interested with NAD Lembeh, some discount for you :azn:

hi irwin, i assumed u have stayed at NAD & 2fish before, pros & cons? pm me bout NAD tq bro.

hi .86, considering bastianos based on your trip report. tq bro.

so next question, lembeh (macro) only or bunaken (wall) only or both? planning is 2 days bunaken and 3 days lembeh (now cant decide already since irwin has said the magic 'D' word). there'll be more confusion if someone else can offer other 'D'. 😜

me and buddies prefer macro but since its our 1st time to manado, we might as well try both areas. But who knows.. more info u get , the clearer the picture

Appreciate your infos/ suggestions & recommendation.. ✌

well, if you wanna cover both locations, then it has to be Bastianos cuz they have DC s at both places. pm me for a contact there? remem i do not part/own nor am an agent for Bastianos.

wait a minute, then its 3 locations, Manado, Bunaken and Lembeh! right?

the guy at Bastianos may be able to offer you a good rate if you do three.

if stay at Manado...dive Manado, Bunaken and Lembeh, its very cost effective. try Minahasa Divers at Sedona? i have dived with them. or La Rascassee next door, this is a photographer's den...very basic accom but lots of opportunities to learn from ppl.

not exactly.. check the map. Manado is the city and the airport. the reorts are about half hour from the airport.

Bunaken is an island 25 mins from the resorts at Manado.

Lembeh is an island about 1.5 hrs by taxi from Manado. to the east...

once you see the map, you will have a clearer picture.

both Lembeh and Bunaken are islands, but they are on opp sides of the city of Manado.

also, Silkair flies from singapore direct to Manado but they are not daily...

any other airline, you change in jakarta.
