geng,
just to share my thought, correct me if i am wrong... B-)
normally if u do deep dive somewhere around 30-35 metre, dive comp will give u 15-18 minutes deco info (no stop time)before u have to do deco stop, meaning u have around 15-18 minutes to dive around the shipwreck and once your deco info show 1 minutes you should go up around 1-2 metre and the deco info will change to maybe somewhere around 3-5 minutes, if u exceed the deco info given, let say u are given 18 minutes deco info (no stop time) & u dive for 20 minutes or more, your computer will give u deco stop maybe somewhere around 6 metre for 3-5 minutes (6m 5: - decompression stop depth and decompression stop duration) and then another safety stop 5 metre for 3 minutes (the one that we always do hehe...) if the gas permit.
but then again, some dive comp deco stop will disappear once you reach 10 metre.
just curious..... :D
let me know what u thing.....

zaff cool video :) ..ur breathing fast. over excited with the wrecks i presume.
tq for sharing it.

mamakpenang i agree with narco on the DC. Doing deep dives is of course inviting. Dont just bz calculating the deco stops.Take precautions on air consumption too.

i dont know why but some divers , they have this kind of thinking " i pay for this tank and so i will use it to the max". Surface with less than 30bars.
I dont mind if the dives is in shallow water but deep dives, better not.

Thank you... need to relax a bit.. haha.. when go deeper the water was like rushing getting inside the mask from the nose pocket.. sometime get me panic.. ahah.. I surface with 30bar and buddy 60bar..
I more appreciate shallow dive with weak current so I can take a good macro shots..  :)

:D i havent been to anywhere (yet!). Just reading the forum waiting for increadible and informative post by members new or old (other than WTB, WTS, News updates). i just hope i wont grow tired reading MUW and skip to scubaboard instead :D .

We have so many talented, wise , knowlegable local divers here. I prefer to listen to my homeland buddies than the foreigners stuff.

zaff it is your 1st time big wreck right? so pardon you this time hahaha. Was the DM azmi himself?? i can see so many divers doing safety stop. The poor divers at the shallower depth must have been struggling to stay static fighting bubbles from down under.

You’ll be amaze if you dive with Azmi. Even at that depth he pops out from the water with air more than 90bar in the tank. Often deep dives with experienced male divers- air left in the tank  at average 50-80 bar (bottom time at average 40min:depth more than 30m) .Experinced female divers at average  70-90 bar but I know a few women divers who still manage to have air in their tanks 100 bar deep dives. These women have turned themselves into mermaids hahaha.

Sometime we never plan to have deep dives. For Example sipadan wall diving. The DM brief us that we will maintain depth at 22m (example). We go down,  After 20min of bottom time suddenly we saw Mola-mola (wishful thinking) at 30m. Of course want to take a closer look.  2 things need to calculate by this time.
1)  Air left in tank.
2)  Deco time.

Reason 1
Your air left 100bar to start going 30m, my advice not to do it though most divers takes the gamble and ‘just do it’  (NIKE style).

Reason2
You dive exceed NDL limit , can always do the deco stops but then can your air tank permits you to do that?? Oh yes there is always a buddy nearby :D
But then have to check buddy air enough for 2 people to breath.

So zaff
Deep dive – check – compulsory for advance level. From the video, no narcosis shown.
Wreck dive – check optional for advance level
Now u left only night dive(optional) and navigation(compulsory) hehehe.
Navigation very easy one. it is like cutting a pie.

If you know the wreck is deep and high probability that you will exceed NDL (Although Recreational diving should not!!), a simple safety solution is to rig a full spare cyclinder with a reg and keep onboard the boat. When you guys surface (They good divers!!  ;) ) and you know there is a buddy still doing deco stop...take the new tank and reg down...if he/she needs to deco for 10 -15 min (Which i repeat....they shouldn't be doing on a recreational dive!!) at least they can complete the deco stop safely.

Not having the tank and surfacing without proper decompression could lead to all the thing you learn about (So I'm not going to go into it).

Dive safe guys...remember...the wreck will always be there..you won't!! :angel8:
Good education leads to good conservation!!

Carry twin tanks (helps only for deco). But breathing air at depth during a deco dive will expose you to Narcosis and DCI. No need to rig another tanks for deco already.. haha

Still wanna rig up a tank? Plan your dive well.. or even betta, become a tech diver.. hehe

Simple rules:

1)If you're planning a no-deco dive - Then do not get yourself into deco

2)If you're planning a deco dive - then surfacing is not a good option. Do your gas calc and redundancy so that you can complete all your deco stops
