you don't need to spend a night in KK as you could still fly to Tawau within the same day from Spore.

make sure you arrive in KK by 11am. Then connect via;

1. AirAsia to Tawau - 1220

2. MAS to Tawau - 1315

If you going with a group the resort would sent a van to pick you guys up. If you alone, very expensive about RM120 or more depending on resort. Otherwise, from Tawau you could take a cab RM45 to Tawau town, then from there take a bus RM10 to Semporna. All within a day.

The Resort hasn't got any roaches, I was there and this is a brief report.

Was there on the 05/03/11 to 09/03/11. This resort hasn't got too many rooms, at most about 15 chalets. We were their only group of visitors there and had the whole islands to ourselves, the staffs are friendly and very accommodating.

The rooms are clean and comes with basic facilities, with a verandah facing the sea, bathroom with hot water attached. Most of the leisure time were spent in the dining area cum lobby of the resort. it's so safe that we slept with the room door and the verandah door opened everynight.

Meals were included in our package, meals were served on time everyday, and it is usually noodles/ fried rice, porridge and cereals for breakfast, 4-dish rice meal for lunch and dinner. After dive snacks were prepared for us too. Coffee, tea, Milo and drinking water is available at all time.

We had a few anglers in our group and they went out fishing every evening on our stay there, the resort staffs were that accommodating that they allowed us to use their kitchen for self cook after the fishing trip.

Diving around the islands were great too, we especially love the Vikings shipwreck, although its not a big wreck, but its filled with lots of fishes.

I only have 2 complains on the resort, firstly its the lack of water pressure in their taps and secondly, lack of sand on the beach, probably its due to this is a man made island. The rest, I only have praises for it and couldn't wait for another trip back there.

Sorry for such lousy report, attached are some of the pictures of the resort, everyone should experience this resort themselves to fully feel their hospitality. Thank you.

Sorry the video was way from back then...
Last time i check out from these vid which made me wanted to go to RRR
http://diver.travel-way.net/Roach05/roach05.html
sorry the site is in japs.

the main problem with RRR , the island get easily smash during heavy wind/storm.

in the year 2007 1 month before my dive trip to RRR, the DM told me 3 of their chalet and 1 gen broken due to big waves
2009 heard from Sipadan DM, the RRR close temp to fix their broken chalet
2010 heard from Sipadan DM, the RRR close temp again to renovate

And RRR have 6 Sipadan permit
