I Agree...

Post Number:#1  Postby John F SeaDemon » Fri May 11, 2007 4:05 am

I agree, Snafu, as per our discussion earlier today.

We plan for 55m but we do 50m...but still on 55m table.

We go down, leave the deco bottles at one place, venture out with the reel, then back to the bottles and commence deco stops. It'll give practise for the Repulse trip.

Ah..get doctor to clear that thing first...I think if surgery to that part you may need a month to recover before exposing yourself to pressure

Hahaha..I am going to kick your butt because you have a cheaper option and wouldn't want to wait for me to obtain such an option.

I was thinking to myself yesterday that I should just bring one 80cu ft filled with a 50% O2 mix. Then, I thought to myself, why don't I carry an extra 80 cu ft cylinder, maybe with normal 21%, so that I can do the correct weighting and config for the Repulse dive.

For this dive, I'll use twins on 21%, one 80cu ft on 21% for practise, and 50% O2 in an 80cu ft cylinder for accelerated deco.

Of course I would love to have one bottle with 100% O2 for me to continue breathing while on the surface to make sure I get rid of most, if not all, of the N2 bubbles.

Sure u dont want to run 21% back gas & 78% higher O2 for stage ... for this run???

Cut 2 table bro ..... we can compare.

Hmm..Helium is expensive mah...for this run  :P Of course I would love to have a Normoxic mix. 18/20? But that mix alone would cost me around RM330 per dive just for Helium :o

For this run, deco bottle filled with 50% O2 is enough. I was just thinking of carrying another cylinder to simulate carrying one bottle of 100% O2 so I can get proper weighting for a 4 cylinder config (twin back gas and two deco bottles). If on the Repulse, I would rather carry one 100% in case mooring line snaps and I'm forced to do free ascent deco stops while drifting or something.

Maybe before Hollowman arrives, we can practise at the Sawasdee Wrecks first...we go down about half an hour before the recreational divers do. The rest we can do around the deeper parts of Chebeh, Genting Bay and the Soyak Trench.

Can...John Bennett, the guy who went down to 305m, didn't know he was using that kind of Helium when he was diving in Korea in 45m depth in 2004.

He's still missing.

Oi Not Lord la bro ... just another diver having to apply visa for Tioman, so far visa application are in order & should not be a problem.

Pre-Approve done already ... now just waiting for the Stamping & hopefuly the Office in-Change will come along for the trip.

I might be running AIR with 78% higher O2 for deco.....or 50% & 100% if sponsor by SEADEMON.

;D
