Personally found out...the cost of service is higher, and the piston type is more sensitive....i do call up the owner of the shop and asking his opinion for the reg....he do carry Scubapro, Apeks and Atomic...he advice to go for Apeks or Atomic as they are more durable and easy to maintain  (No offense to scubapro owners....just personal opinion) comes with 100-200 dives service interval. Now dunno which one to go for....as the M1 and XTX 50/100/200 seem to be very close in price and function.

Are you sure about that?? Every parts in Reg doesn't matter who make them is expensive.. If you didin't take care yr reg of course.. you pay what you deserved!!

i've heard ppl saying that piston 1st stage, water can go in... and for diaphragm, no water will go into it... doest that mean diaphragm is more reliable? ... since dirty water may clog the piston first stage...
cheers...

Ive been scubapro s600 and MK25 for 4 years and so far no problem. Its bullet proof man as long u take care of it. Also i'll make sure that I service yearly irrespective of how many dives i logged that year.

Also used that on my twins :glasses9:

Bluemoon wrote:To all Tech diver out there....May i know which reg are you using and which to get if i plan to go for Tech dive in future? At this moment i don't own any reg....opinion/feedback needed before i invest my money on it(would be one time for all). I am eying on Apeks at this moment as it is well know as durable and easy to maintain(correct me if i am wrong).

From my very own opinion, there are only two factors that will be my main concern when it comes to diving which are 'Safety' and 'Quality' that comes first and that is why i chose to get Poseidon Xstream Deep 90 and Scubapro S600. I have made my own comparison on these two through out all my shallower and deep dives which I've found out there are huge gaps on functionality between these two. Which I may listed as follows:-

Scubapro S600:-

1. Lightweight
2. Easy breathed at any depths with very smooth air flow and stability.
3. Heavy duty. (I'm a careless person but my S600 still in tip top condition)
4. adapts to all diving conditions
5. Slightly cheaper

Poseidon Xstream Deep 90:-

1. Heavier than my S600
2. Easy breathed as you descend to deeper depth more than 25m, a bit hard to inhale at shallower depth less than 20m.
3. I've noticed that I tend to inhale more air as the air flow intake is much more than S600.
4. It does a super duper job for deep diving.
5. expensive!

For the above particular reasons, I've sold my Poseidon to someone else and now I intend to invest on another S600.

Again like i said, these are my own comparison. Everybody have their own kind of perceptions and expectations.

Hope this will be useful to u.  ;)
