i see there are 2 kinds of bands available... one is 7.25" and the other is 8.25" ... so, normally what kind of tanks are used? and if it is S80, which version of band do u guys used?

Depends on the cylinder u using ... alu or steel.

FOr ALu 80 is 7.25

8.25 for press steel 104 to 130ft double..

You forgot to mention, it's very important to make sure the metal of the tank and the metal of the tank bands are not touching. If they do touch you will most probably get Galvanic Corrosion (rusting of two different metals in contact and submerged in an electrolyte).  I usually apply tape under the tank bands to avoid this.

So far no problem with SS twin band but if you worry about it...you can use clear water hose or tire tube.

oh, do you mean that so far SS twin band works fine without anything in between?

i've read in other board... they are saying that using those tube in between will trap salt water or something, in the end, will make it worst :P don't know how true is that..  but don't wish to try :)

So far I have no problem with the SS twin band reacting with the alum cylinder ... just make sure you rinse it well for storage.
