It depends what sort of offshore work that you want to do, there is AIR diver, there is SAT Diver, there is ALST, there LST, there is rigger, There is ROV Pilot...etc...etc...what is your area of interest?? you have to know yourself first.

thanks Spazm....i'm not sure which one..need to figure it out 1st...

now i'm in building construction industry, knows very well about construction and structural.. 2 years ago i manage to get into sime darby oil-rig construction site (pasir gudang) for my friends thesis study. from that, i told myself, if someday i want to change job, i will go to offshore work.
maybe u can help me figure it out, which sort of offshore work is suit for me, base on what i'm doing now..

Those positions that I quoted earlier are categorised as the Subsea side of offshore work, when we work, no one knows or see..so it is not glamourous job..not like an engineer..:) can say.."Abang Engineer"..

yup, that's what i'm looking for, Subsea side off offshore work....but for somebody with engineering knowledge jump into Subsea side, they have advantages in this field. For me there is nothing about glamourous, it's about passion. Btw, i'n not engineer, i'm working as an architect..

Spazm, where can i get the information about all the categorized of subsea work that u list down below?..

keep posting more pictures...really enjoying your report  B-)

But have to conjure up a miracle lah to get the job done...stressed woh...later end up like this fella have to take pictures and report to towkay everyday on who is not working, with NPO (Non-Profit Organisation @ Greenpeace) pay!!..hehehe
