OK gentlemen,

I see there's a bit of a confusion here. Let me try shed some light aite.

Now, Annual Diving Medical Check-up is to determine if you are fit to dive. Offshore general medical check-up is to determine if you are fit to work offshore.

Generally, For Malaysian or anyone from any other countries wanting to work offshore in Malaysia, Petronas and its Petroleum Sharing Companies has set a requirement for personnel to go through its Offshore Medical Check-up program. Petronas has a group of registered Panel Doctors which follows its guidelines for medical assessment of personnel. I might be wrong but until today, Petronas has not yet set guidelines for offshore diving medical assessment.

For Divers, until a few years ago, Health & Safety Executives of UK has a group of registered HSE Diving Doctors outside UK that carried out Medical Assessment of Divers according to HSE standards. However, HSE has stopped this program outside the UK. And since HSE doesn't want to have anything to do with everything that has got to do with offshore diving outside UK territorial waters, they got IMCA to set up guidelines.

So this is the tricky part, Since most users of this forum is Malaysian or people that works in Malaysian waters, you can do your Diving medical assessment anywhere and get your offshore medical done with Petronas registered Panel Doctors. But, now, there's quite a number of Petronas registered panel doctors in Malaysia who are trained in Advanced Hyperbaric Medicine and who can conduct diving medical assessment for commercial divers according to guidelines passed on by IMCA

A few IMCA member companies in the Asia-Pacific chapter has come up with a list of diving doctors and asked IMCA to circulate.
The list of diving doctors in Malaysia is as follows, all you need to do is inquire if they are also Petronas registered Panel Doctors so that you can do "2-in-1" medical.

Dr Dian Haryaty Harun
Klinik Segera - Kuala Lumpur
+60 1 7603 2520

Dr Hew Mee-Len
Klinik Greentown - Ipoh
+60 5242 6237

Dr Teh Teck Eng
Klinik Hosanna - Johor
+60 7 861 3740

Dr Agus Salim
NIOSH - Selangor
+60 3 8769 2226

Col. Dr Halim Mohamad
Institute of Underwater & Hyperbaric Medicine - Lumut
+60 5930 4081

Dr Mustapha Kamar
Klinik Baromed - Kuala Lumpur
+60 3 4045 2536

Dr Thomas Cheu Kuok Tuh
Klinik Dr Cheu - Miri
+60 8543 8068

Dr Abdul Halim Mohamad
Shell Health - Sarawak
+60 8545 3162

Dr Mohd Shaikh Dawood
Klinik Wilayah - Labuan
+60 8741 3140

The contact numbers, i got from the IMCA circulated document, might have recently been changed, so don't shoot me, i'm juz the messenger.

Hope the above is of interest.
