Nice to hear from you again. Me and a friend of mine didn't get to the SubicBay...but got a better offer :P

A friend of mine just finish an ROV courses under Fugro and if my logged hours is sterlingly good before February, I got myself a sponsored CSWIP 3.3U - ROV Inspector or CSWIP 3.4U - Underwater Inspection Controller...which I thought better to take it next year :)

PS: I'm the one who got your e-mail from SeaDemon for the ROV course tips.

Aah! ironore is a commercial diver currently in Cebu. Sorry but I read and replied to your other post before reading this.

Enjoy the and "nice" things that Cebu has to offer but please refrain from buying their sea shells and especially the Turtle Shell guitars but do enjoy the Pinoy hospitality as Cebu is famous for the prettiest girls in the Philippines for good reason  ;)

Dive safe, work hard but play harder..... and congrats on your 100th dive  :occasion18:

sorry to disappoint you guys.. nope non wat soever behind the scene pics taken or took place..  :angel8:
being the loser that i am..  i actually yawn and felt sleepy on seeing those "bebot" dancing on the stage..
went straight away back to hotel  ;)

ok anyway.. some of the pics of this hitch..

you could actually see the rig from the plane..
Image

Cebu sunset from the rig.. owh by the way.. this is the same rig we were on during my 1st hitch offshore to Japan, seems they had this contract with the Philippines Gov to explore hydrocarbon in the Cebu archipelago.. and from the looks of it they "strike" so soon or maybe don't know when la.. if everything goes according to plan (it looks like not anytime soon cause we are having problem with the hole, they got a pipe stuck in the hole) they might make a production field out of this area and walla.. in the name of generating power and wealth..
and this time we dive deep.. 180meters, deepest dive so far for me.

Thanks ironore for the info but I am still not convinced that it wasn't your 'pipe" that got stuck in the hole  :laughing11: Wah! 180 meters - thats DEEP man, especially for a kuchi fart diver like me  :D  :D

previous hitch.. onboard Kuroshio 2, Gulf of Thailand..

our crew boat bound for Kuroshio 2 - Location... 14 hours journey to the middle of Gulf of Thailand..
Image

On the way.. we longside Java Constructor to high five the crew and drop some cargo...
Image

we arrive onboard K2 late night so no clear picture of that barge.. only this.. hehehe
as you can see that is the big 2500MT crane... we have been tasked to lay sleeper for pipe laying and also pipe line touch down survey dive..

The Lewek Toucan is a fine AHTS.  SAPURA Crest must have taken it on a long-term charterso Ezra must be laughing on a daily basis to the bank.  It must be around 16-18k bhp. So the bollard pull must be around 150 tonnes.  Bro, do you know what is the tonnage of that crane?

Its a nice vessel bro...single room with attached bathroom.Food great.. local caterer company.. heard from reliable source saying this DPDSV drinks alot of fuel up to 40MT per day.. he said unless client is paying for the fuel then it will be the best shot for any task offshore..

as for the heli pad.. apparently its not certified by sapa ntah to land a chopper.. probably la kot sebab i was on board for close to two months and never a single chopper landed there even in an emergency case where a supervisor needed to be evacuated (due to family emergency) the supply boat being dispatch to sent him to the nearest platform..

alamak for the crane capacity.. i don't know la bro..
