Anyone interested to be my buddy??

Post Number:#1  Postby kaymind » Wed Nov 21, 2007 2:35 am

Hi there...
I',m here looking for a female buddy to dive with me on March 2008. Destination probably Thai dive site...but please don't suggest me for LOB. I prefer to stay on the ground with white and sandy beach cause more relaxing so I can spent my night time laying on the beach (tido berbumbungkan langit yg berbintang). Anyone interested??
Cheers!

actually thai area are not in my mind yet as i only do domestic diving. it depends what you want to see, may be Quero can help, she have a dive centre at Phuket.

Mostly, Koh Lipe is one of the target destinations but I still have more dive site to discover in Redang and Perhentian :).

May be you can PM Quero about the diving overthere, just post here what are the damage like...

may be I can go also but shopping for HAM radio stuff not diving heheheh.

ya, they said, Malaysian waters much more better then Thai waters, i dunno, but have to ask anybody who had already went.

For lepak King and rest, Thailand is better la.

er did i mention I'm going for an new dive site exploration dive to Redang and Perhentian with the Island Master? hehehe

It actually depends on which month you plan to go, actually.

coz if i am not mistaken, March would be the transition month where the monsoon winds change from the east to the west coast.

so if you go Samui, it will be the start of the new season. And if u decide to go Phi Phi, it will be the tail end.

like what Orinato mentioned, do PM Quero. she will be in a better position to advice u.

go to tenggol lah... much more relaxing and cheap(if u dun mind spending 2 nights sleeping in a hammock). i dare say that it's the best in peninsular malaysia. but my dad swore he saw a great white in tenggol waters(but i don't know if he was exaggerating or not). but that was 25 years ago. and it was 47.38% more beautiful...

I say YES malaysia dive site much, much, much better  but I don't how far much, much, much is??cause i never been there and don't know how to compare it....but for me, I prefer to follow my heart and not to listen too much rumors....have you heard the word "if you never try you never know"...yes i asked some people opinions about it just to know their experiences who had been there. So at least I know something about the place i want to go. Tenggol also in my schedule but not on march probably on May or June.
Cheers!

that's right. if ur hearts just wants to go to thai, then follow it. but beware of the unstable conditions in the southern thai region. very unpredictable... the waters might not be too good to dive in the east coast(monsoon). best time is august-september. if u want to go march, phuket better lah... tenggol if u go around may or june better lah... dun forget to invite me if u going to tenggol...

I been to thai dive site, maybe i can give you some idea. I went to the west side, Phuket, stay on lob and head north to Hin Ding and Hin Muang, (Purple Rock and Red Rock), these are the Top ten dive site in the world, its located in the middle of the open sea, if you stay on mainland than you can't explore it, its much more beatiful than redang, you can stay lob than spend another two days on land do some lepak or shopping, thats what i did during this trip, the lob will bring you to phi phi island too, for 2 hours lepak, and diving at the Tsunami Memorial. If you need info about this lob, pm me i can give you a hand.

Hey..cool to know you man! Any way, first question is...did i need to pay for airport tax the moment i arrive and depart from Thai? How much do i need to pay? Yeah...i'm about to think Hin Ding and Hin Muang too...cause i heard 5 stars dive site in the world. Still consider about it...but can you help me which DC should i go? Name me at least 3 DC.
Cheers!

i'm glad you feel interesting to go there, but i feel sorry to tell you i know none DC around Phuket, because i stay lob and the name is MV Pawara. They got nice food, nice room ensuited, comfortable common room with big screen LCD tv, dvd players, ps2, laptop to view your photo after dive, free flow of drinks. There is another vessel name MV Dive Master 1, which is more luxury. In order to go both dive sites, you need stay lob, or maybe phi phi island which i think is near to the site, if you can accpet lob i can introduce you my instructor aka Agent, he can arrange for you.

Forget to tell, the tax need to pay upon departure, 500BHT = RM50, so don't spent all your pocket money
