We will be conducting adv nitrox and extended range for sure not sure when yet but will keep you posted. Also everyone, I'm not sure about trip details yet need a lil more time to try and get a head count. I have 2 confirmed and need 6 in total to make the trip so mark you calenders and fill out your holiday requests.

What is the minimum requirement to join this trip? Certified decompression procedure or Extended Decompression or Trimix? What is the targetted diving depth for this trip and what is the planned bottom time?

Sorry i am not a technical diver but just curious.. ;)

Kind of interesting trip.  I would prefer to have trimix for this trip especially the Price of Wales.

 I've to agree with you putradiver.

 Trimix way to go on both wreck anyways.. at least you just hanging around torpedo holes at Repulse which is exception.. But be safe, get proper gas to dives on those wreck.. When shit hits the fan.. at least yr mind clear set.!

Zaha,

IMO Air would be OK for the exterior of HMS Repulse & penetration should be done on TriMix or HeliOx.

As for HMS Prince Of Wales(POW) ... TriMix or HeliOx should be the choice, exterior or penetration due to the depth & Low Viz.

The best will always be TriMix or HeliOx, as what you have mention.

FYI...Helium is expensive down here  :(

I knew that about helium is expensive.. I just think about narcotic at depth that all. I know many divers do it and done it, but if something happen well!!! bla bla bla.. but for new divers or new student who want to jump at Repulse with Air. I would say too risky.
 Bro.. Diving suppose to be fun not suicide sports.! you know what i mean.

Why not just taking step by step, no rush.. That wreck ain't go no way!! taking proper course with proper gas not with AIR at that depth!!

extended range gets you down to 55m thats the max depth on the repulse, it is also a very good dive on the pow but not the bottom. psai did away with deco procedures and goes straight to adv nitrox which is 45m and all mixes with O2 up to 100% for decompression. extended range is more on narcosis management using air to 55m.

I've done 65m on air. It's no big problem. yes you get a bit narc'ed, yes trimix is a better choice but one can still make both dives on air and be A-OK. Helium is going for .25 sen per liter and O2 at .10 sen so a fill of 18/30 in a set of twins will cost about RM344 times that by 2 dives a day by 3 days diving. Your looking at a gas bill about RM2065 on trimix not counting deco gases. Air= Free!!!

Guys, to be able to go on this trip, you should already be experienced enough or have the qualifications to decide on the gases to be used for such dives.

Let the individual diver make his/her own choice can?

If already qualified and/or experienced enough, he/she can use air to 100m for all I care...........

Ok everyone mark your calenders and file those holiday requests for 19-22 march for repulse/pow and 27-29 march for banka/k-17/o-16.
Max depths: (sticking your regulator in the sand)
Repulse= 60m
POW=78m
Banka=60m
K-17=54m
O-16=56m
bottom times are up to you based on your sac rate and buddies sac rates. All divers are required to dive with a buddy no solo diving.
Trip price is RM2400 per diver plus gas fills(Repulse trip). .25 He, .10 O2 per ltr, free 100% O2 surface supply @6m and 4.5m deco stops.
Banka trip is RM1200 + gas fills.

If you still want to come let me know your equipment and gas needs asap.

Shouldnt i log more dives before doing extended range? Even with that, i still need more dives before even considering those wrecks. I believe its for experienced tekkie

 Still cheaper around there compare here. weeks of diving with 18/35 with 3 stage still cost me $US 1500. [-( [-(
