Is it safe, for Tenggol on Oct...???
« on: August 18, 2011, 03:11:33 PM »

Hello divers...  :)

its been a while since my last post...  :D I'm in a dilemma right now...  [-( I'm thinking of joining a trip to Tenggol this Oct, my problem is someone mentioned to me that it is not safe to dive there during oct since its the starting month of monsoon season  [-( [-( [-( and last year with the incident of a boat sunk at Tenggol  Island making me worried more than ever...  :(

so some opinion and review from my fellow divers friends are needed here...  :D :D :D if you have past exp and don't mind sharing, it could be great...

thanks for viewing... adios...  :D

no where is safe. Now even sitting in the car , you can get acid on your face! Sheeesh

just pray for the best. The sea is always unpredictable. You can never guess when is the sea
going to be rough or not. Best is to buddy with someone that is experienced.

I think a lot of bad rumours spread about tenggol which made the place is sort of a danger zone
for the open water divers.

What happened last year was just simply fate. Many claimed it was human error.
Just listen to your heart. If you feel unconfident about it. Then dont go.

My advice is not to go during the deepavali. It is the end of the month. Normally the sea is rough
beginning of a new moon but several times i encountered calm sea during new moon.
Like i said, the sea is unpredictable.

fully agreed on some paranormal sighting .try doing a night dive infront of the resort. ...something there...

To the answer on 'treacherous' ..ok..should I should add 'just my personal opinion' cant say some divers loves this type of diving.

thought to mentioned the sipernatural issue later but guess someone beats me to it.

Chip, juz visit Tenggol & experience it for yourself. If you are lucky, very lucky, mayb you will experience and tell us your paranormal side of the story. If not, just share with us your diving experience... nice dive sites they have there.

"ghostly encounter " could be result of high in drugs abuse. no reference to Tenggol intended. it is just a suggestion.
