is a good camera... bcoz, it's used leica lens...

the color more vibrant compared to normal G11.. but pen is much expensive...

i buy from the states just S$200 more than a G11.

i thot with the lens sytem i will not have to don/doff my macro lens when underwater. so it does not have a dedicated macro mode? and have to calibrate WB?

Bro with most DSLR or in this case micro 4/3, you have to decide on which lens to bring for UW shots. Or you can choose for something in between (some macro and some wide) for about similar setup as your G11. Then you can use the wet lens if the housing allows.

The sensors are said to be better than G series (from the reviews) but you won't get the advantage of a full-fledged DSLR (most micro 4/3 are said to be slow to focus ... again from reviews). Use your G11 firstlah bro. Practice until you reach the limit of the camera then upgrade to a dslr hehehehe

That's my 1/2 cents. I have never tried the E-PL1

that's the trouble with DSLR. DM must be told early early.

well the thing is, my G10 has gone to davy jones locker...somehow my casing opened and it took a swim in Tulamben, now working fine-strange. don't think it can be repaired. the batt terminal all shorted out. ouch $$$$$

using my son's GF G10 here in Pulau Weh.

so looking to upgrade.

yo dude, its a great camera! just as a PnP underwater on iAUTO it is a crowd pleaser. it is heavy...and the right hand gets a bit tired after about 40 mins of shooting. its thick.

it has a dessicant gel tray to hold the pouch--nice touch.

i am writing this whilst in Manado !!! will try to post soon. tomo we go to Lembeh !!

so far it has made me walk around with a wide grin on my face. WA is also a big improv over my G10 performance. however it does not perform well when shooting in the dark. the autofocus illuminator is very weak. will hook up my fantasea autofocus light...

hey dude, i had the same set-up for my Inon S2000 before, and it has serious limitations for positioning your strobe...thats why i got a tray and an arm soon after.

ok back to the camera. i find autofocus (in bright light very fast) and the displays' hi resolution a big help when composing. i am going to get the E-VF2 soon.

remem to get the zoom ring for the correct lens, and forget about the shading ring..no diff when i took it off. you will need a 10 BAR optic cable to trigger your S2000. though i did not try the wireless feature.

i am using an INON Z240 type 4 and the TTL works like a hot knife thru butter, effortless! and on manual it corrected accurately. and on full, the fishes were fried.....(joking-lah)

i suppose an Inon S2000 would be sufficient for the pen. if only for macro. IMO maybe reconsider an arm on a tray?

after buying from US, now i find the price in spore has dropped thru the floor...aiyah always happen.

yeah i am really happy with it now that i have assigned the Fn button to macro or wa. it took a lot of guesswork out of every shot. now if only i can get my strobe placement correct for the WA.
