Tengkiu, tengkiu sifus. sorry lor.. I'm new, still lot more to learn. The reason I asked was because I almost lost my weight belt in tioman. Think someone accidentally pull it lar.. I realized when I couldnt control my buoyant n started to ascend from 12m to 7m.  :crybaby2:

Dear Ah Phoi,

I personally wud like to extend my deepest apology for unintentionally pulled your weight belt in Tioman. That was very unacceptable action done by the silly me. I should'nt have did such thing that might caused a disaster to anyone. You have my word that this wont happen again in the future. Again, I am truly sorry.  [-( [-( [-(

Why are you pulling on her Weightbelt in the first place??? :angry4:

a similar thing happended to me during my merdeka dive..

tiger reef in tioman - strong undercurrents so we decended with a bouy line. it was only at 13 meters that i realised i wasnt as bouyant as usual. a few taps on my waist later was when i realised I TOTALLY FORGOT MY WEIGHT BELT! with the strongs currents right above me i so did not want to ascend. so i tried my best to deflate fully and breath in a little air as possible. untill i got tired and just went to my dive master. she took one stone out of her pocket and passed it to me. problem solved.. kindda.

on the surface later we all laughed at it.. but we all silently knew how dangerous it was. and how we DID NOT DO OUR BUDDY CHECK!

so lesson well learnt..

if its happen..do we have to do the CESA ? talak sempat punya meh..(got no time, man)

No, because you still have air to breathe. CESA is a controlled ascent you use for when you're out of air and must ascend. An uncontrolled ascent is what happens when you don't want to ascend but cannot prevent it, such as when you lose a weight belt. The only similarity is that you must keep your airway open. Do not ever ascend while holding your breath!

because i got nothing to do underwater and I like to disturb others who spent their own sweet time alone observing little critters. Like i said, it's my bad...and i will ensure you this will not happen again in the future. My apology.

DavyJones,

Did anything prompted u to do that? Most of the time u were with me and other nitrox divers. As far as ive been diving with u and observed lately, u have always made SAFETY as ur main priority.......

I'm so happy. Our experienced divers share their knowledge. It is important to know what to do should this happen to others. Tengkiu, tengkiu everyone... Davy Jones, I am sure u didn't do it on purpose; pulling my weightbelt.. There is no point looking back at the past. The important thing is I am safe and still in one piece  ;) The most important thing is to share this to everyone especially newbies; not to panic, think and take action. It could have happened to anyone.

Cheers!!

yeah, very noble of you for willingly not to look back at the past:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

To others,
Please DO NOT commit such silly action like i did to her. Never try to be funny underwater as it could lead to unwanted disaster. Remember always, SAFETY first!
Again, it was my bad.  :$
