Hi everyone,

Not sure if this is the correct place to post...
I am new and in the midst of getting my OWD and AOWD from padi. Started my confined water dive early this year, and told my instructor that I will only be able to go dive trip 1st or 2nd week of july because of work. So now the instructor taught me what is to know on OWD, nothing on AOWD yet.

My problem is...my instructor now doesn't reply my sms, and doesn't answer my call. The last conversation I had with him was last month, and he says he is busy. And when ask about the trip, he says "have to arrange", and says now no one dares to go diving because of the recent earthquake and tsunami. But from what I see...there are still people going and are exciting about going to dive trips....
I plan to do all the theory and confined water dive and exams before the trip so the trip can be a fun/recreational dive and not classroom, exam and stuff...
I paid 1.1k for my OWD (899 for classes and confined water dive, 200 for the manual), and will get a half price if I take AOWD together(I still yet to pay anything for AOWD).

I am starting to feel uncomfortable because from now till early July is only about 12 weeks away, and there's no news noting from my instructor. No sms replied, no calls replied. Anyone can advice me what should I do, or is there any solution to it...

which dive centre/shop is it? perhaps someone here knows him and might be able to help you out.

Hello jumper. Try shooting him a "gentle reminder" sms one more time, telling him that if it isnt replied, you will be seeking "help" in contacting him via public forums like this one.

The shop is always close...and he is away.

HOW CAN THERE BE NO RECEIPTS ISSUED?! but then again, i didnt receive any receipt for my OW & AOW courses.. but i paid AFTER i completed the course on island.. (the whole course is on the island)

then it will b good for you, if u disclose his dive centre for 2 good reasons.
1, someone here may know the dive centre boss and assist you.
2, prevent other ppl from being conned.
