Hey,

I just wanna ask about spear fishing in Malaysia. I've checked many forums including this one all are referring spear fishing with the trigger spear. Well, I would like to know about the spear fishing where you use the manual spear. Just like what Survivor(reality show) castaways use to catch their fish.

So, my question is whether this kind of spearfishing is legal or the same rules applies for both ?

I am not sure about the survivor style. Spear fishing already banned in Malaysia for years.

Fishing not allowed in marine park area at 2 miles nautical, you have to go out from marine park area.

What I meant was spear fishing using pole spear and not the spear gun. Is that illegal too ?
