hye..i just wanna ask for advice or suggestion. on how to start a group of divers tht can go on locating treasures or anything valuable.. all i wanna know is how.how to start..tq.

Looking for treasures or valuable stuff underwater? Damn for a start ur history must be really good and definately u need tech diving as most sunken ships with "treasures" are more than 40m....

And then make sure you have something better than a RM90K side-scan towed sonar, and spend more than RM50K for a magnetometer....does not include the tens of thousands of ringgit for the access to ancient documents kept in archives all over the world...

For a start, you can try Pirate Reef wreck in Tioman.

Knowing the treasure that you are looking for would be a good start.

Do research on it & find out more about the shipping route ... all base on history.

Keep an open mind, listen to fisherman story, talk to locals & start finding out the location from them.

You can ask the fisherman for GPS reading or go with them & do couple of dives at the said location.

For sure you would need few divers, community like this might be able to help you as I m sure some of us are into treasure hunting.

Basic scuba equipment ...Handheld GPS... good diving buddies....hand tools ......having search technique underwater would be handy, IMO this is what you need for a start, until u can confirm the things that you are looking for, then start another planning.

why dun we start at sungai duyong, melaka... some fisherman was doing it part time and he claimed to have collected more than RM1m worth of artefacts.... still wondering why he didnt turn pro or do it full time.... ;D

i think i heard it somewhere..yeah..kecil kecilan lagi bagus..i dont want 2 pop, or else i cant stop..its just i want 2 do something better and for my own good in future..

Just be prepared to let him use up your air. Or carry a spare air tank for him. Hehehe. Other than that, you'll get to eat good fish for lunch and dinner.
