Nat Geo Inside 'FishWar'
« on: July 18, 2011, 09:14:23 AM »

Was watching Nat Geo's Inside Fishwar yesterday.
Its certainly worries me to see the distruction of reefs & fish stocks all around our neighbour countries, although Malaysia are not been mentioned but I think we face the similar problems as well.
Just wondering did anyone manage to catch the documentary and willing to share some point of views?

Seeing traders plunder the sea of marine life for foriegn exotic pets trade are really saddening. How many of those 'nemos' actually manage to make it alive to reach the fish tank of the other side of the globe? Or using 'fishbomb' to catch fish, it is still a common practice? or Nat Geo really blow it out of purportion?  I know newspaper have been mentioning the threat of vietnamese fishing vassels in our water but seeing the amount of fishes wastage on their boat really send chill down my spine...

Water without the big predatorial fishes like sharks, rays, tuna, groupers ...  :$
