Check privacy setting on your Facebook?

To post pic here from Facebook:

1. Check privacy is set to Everyone and not Friends Only for that album (dun worry we're not asking you to share your entire FB :-D)

2. From within the album (where you see small thumbnails) of the photo you wanna share, do not click on the individual photo just yet (as this will launch the theater). You should do one of the following:

3a.  Share the entire album by copying the url of the album and paste it here. Example:
Code: [Select]
www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.12345678901234567.890123.456789012
3b.  Share the entire album by copying the "Share this album with anyone by sending them this public link:" at the bottom of the screen and paste it here. Example:
Code: [Select]
www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.12345678901234567.890123.456789012&l=781fdfdadd
3c.  Share the individual photo by holding CTRL key + click (OR SHIFT key + click) on the individual photo you want to share (This will launch the photo in a new tab/ window but Not in the "theater"), then right click on on that photo in the new tab/ window and select Copy image URL and paste it here. Example:
Code: [Select]
http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/123456_12345678901234567890123_456789012_3456789_012345_n.jpg

Hope it helps.

I also want to see this elusive seahorse in PD :-)

Ketam have always wanted to try diving PD. But nobody seems to be organizing. Ketam knows the Vis sucks, but P9 was not too bad... so PD could be too. Bockbong, how did you dive there? Who to contact?

There's no contact, you just take a tank and go.

Get there early because the parking is very little and often crowded by 9am, especially on weekends.

The depth is 6 metres only. If you got no bouyancy control, you will just be like floating around near the surface.

Viz is ok most of the time at Blue Lagoon. To the far south the viz is coffee because of river effluence and fishing village rubbish. To the far north it is chalky because of the resorts and boat traffic.

The bay is very shallow, so you have to swim about 800 metres out of the beach to reach that depth. Can be very tiring for some people.

Out of the bay, you will see some seagrass, and small patches of coral running along a line parallel to the coast.

There are some fish of course. And lots of urchins.

Beyond the small patches to the west and north, there is only sand.

To the south, there is a drop-off under the cliff, it is very dark and the coral there is sparse and covered with muck.

Thanks for the info,

Now where can Ketam get tanks and weights. Anywhere to get these in KL or better still in PD?

Would purchasing tanks be a good idea? Where to fill them?

Hehehe so many questions

Daud.... sometimes diving in bad vis do bring some wonderful surprises.

Ketam dived P9 before where the vis was nothing to shout about and it was quite interesting.

Dived TARP during whale shark season, water was like pea soup but got to find the amazing Magical Chromodoris.... in our waters.... that was an amazing dive.

PD is a short drive and Ketamnette's kampung is Jelebu, so would not mind diving PD. Anyhow for straits water we wait for neap tides (vis better and sea calmer). The kelongs in PD have been reporting good fishing since season open so maybe there is something ther.

Hehehe so many questions

bro Ketam,

Tanks and weights, you can rent from a dive shop. But they will have to know you upside-down-inside-out before they will loan out their tanks. Some might flatly refuse, and some might require you to give a deposit.

Having said that, buying a tank is like buying your dive gear - it would be a good investment only if you plan on utilising it on trips to places where there is no dive centers - like PD. :)

As for filing up services, there are quite a few dive shops who do provide such services (RM20-30 per fill, if memory serves me well) - all you need to do is ask.

Hope this helps.

So bro bockbong : WIll we ever get to view this photo of the Hippokampus kuda?

Hi everyone,

Sorry, been away for a week to perhentian.

http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1727980561314.2088892.1292450865#!/photo.php?fbid=1759067378465&set=a.1727980561314.2088892.1292450865&type=1&theater

Sorry again, i didnt check that the status was for friend only. I changed that to everyone now.

Tanks can be arranged with MDG Scuba, who's based in PD. The owner, just acquired a single hose compressor and some tanks. He's using  same name for his facebook.

Took a short boat ride to get to the seahorse point. A boat dive with own equipment costs RM60.
