There's no contact, you just take a tank and go.
Get there early because the parking is very little and often crowded by 9am, especially on weekends.
The depth is 6 metres only. If you got no bouyancy control, you will just be like floating around near the surface.
Viz is ok most of the time at Blue Lagoon. To the far south the viz is coffee because of river effluence and fishing village rubbish. To the far north it is chalky because of the resorts and boat traffic.
The bay is very shallow, so you have to swim about 800 metres out of the beach to reach that depth. Can be very tiring for some people.
Out of the bay, you will see some seagrass, and small patches of coral running along a line parallel to the coast.
There are some fish of course. And lots of urchins.
Beyond the small patches to the west and north, there is only sand.
To the south, there is a drop-off under the cliff, it is very dark and the coral there is sparse and covered with muck.
