Fresh Water Dive Sites in Malaysia
« on: April 14, 2011, 06:32:58 PM »

Is there any lake, river, waterfall, dam, or whatever water bodies suitable to dive in Malaysia, especially Northern Malaysia? Visibility, current, accessibility? Is there any place in Northern Malaysia (Penang and Kedah) where I can get rental gears and tanks?

I know some friends who dive in Kota Tinggi waterfall a couple of years back. But cold and nothing much to see there... They did it because it was monsoon time, so just go to waterfall and dive... and they just wanna experience diving in fresh water and altitude enviromnment.
But you really wanna have your own gear and tank. And dont mention the feeling climbing the mountain with gear and tank...

One thing that i guess is good,  no need to wash your dive gear after dive... :)

I heard about it before, but couldn't found the video on Youtube. Sounds fun, at least get a taste of it. No doubt logistic would be a big problem.
