hi guys,
just need a quick update on the status in the east coast. how is the weather and viz as I am planning a dive trip before end of the season.
planning to go by mid of oct 2011 so I know it's a bit risky...wanna know if the monsoon is early this year or etc.

I am from Kuala Besut and dive (on my own) regularly here and around Perhentian. The weather up to now is perfect for diving...only a little bit of wind and rain in the evening. Actually even in December/January during the monsoon there are some days when you can dive! Of course, it would be easier if you are based here as you can take advantage of calm days!

Sunday 25th Sept would be a perfect day as the sea current would be very minimal on that day!

was in perhentian last weekend 16-18 Sept, the visibility especially at Tokomg Laut is amazing, maybe because I am still new that was my 7th dive only.

@solo : thanks for the update but i'm planning the trip only in Oct 2011...lol...west coast kept raining these few days...so I am unsure if monsoon is a bit wee early this year
@atieshaali : yea, tokong laut offered the best viz when the weather and current is right. you can see multiple bamboo sharks stacked up. lol.
