Pray that the sea urchins on the bottom are nice.  ;D

Descending too fast can increase your likelihood of getting narced.

Sometimes descending fast can help minimise being dragged away by strong currents.

To me solo is very dangerous la bro...

The predive check procedures also sometimes we missed. We never know what will happened to the equipment UW.

Hmm..fast descent can result in the implosion of the inner ear rather than explosion.

Solo diving is not recommendable, unless you have been properly trained as a self-sufficient diver. Even then, technical divers and to a certain extent, commercial divers, dive with a partner (buddy). Your life may depend on them in certain circumstances.

Imagine had the late John Bennett gone diving alone during his fatal dive and no one knew that he went diving. No one would have known that he had gone missing while diving.

Don't dive alone just to prove that you are macho.

if u mean that a diver were to accidentally fast descent, he/she wud have to be prepared to equalize..just like SD said, risk of implosion of ur inner ear..once that happens, its a big o_O as if i'm not mistaken, the inner ear is responsible for our stability..

and like others pointed, u might be the first to reach the bottom while ur buddy is still struggling to get down..for the time that u go solo, a lot of thing can happen perhaps..one thing i can think of is panic lar..

dont worry when i did it tat time.. i actually notify my buddy which is at the surface, the dm u/water.. the boat men ... although i know if accident happen they cant save la.... but then well its already past.... so just forget it and take it as lessons.. oh yeah my dive sites is sandy area with coral line along back to the shore.. avg 10 meters for first 10 mins then 6 meters.... got everything with me such as.. compas, knife, sosej, ... well okies,...

back to topics....

any way please try not to descend too fast by put more weight.

I know some diver purposely put more weight in order to descend faster.

because sometimes if the group has many otais diver... the newbies tend to takes times... to descend.. so the DM assume they dont enough weight.... so just advise them.. but actually they dont know how to control the breathing.... but the otais are giving indirect pressure to the newbies especially if doing drift diving.....

thanks for the kind advice. well, it just that i wanna know what will be the impact if one is to decent fast :)

well.. i guess it's sort of impossible to descend fast.. as when u can equalize... it's kind of impossible for you to go down.. coz it's pain... and when u feel the pain.. i don't think u'll want to do it some more.. unless accident happens.. where u can't control yourself...  :o
