Hi

Just wondering how some of you would feel about this matter.

I have come across a few DCs, especially those in Sabah (not all) advertising their package here and on other dive forums. Personally, I was 'wow' by their adverts and I would reply to their post. They would either direct me to visit their websites or they will reply after I have dived, came back and forgotten about the matter which is months later. There was one here telling those who are interested in their package to visit their website as all the pricing is available there. Only to visit it and find "Please email us for information of this package"

What do you think of such adverts by DCs? Are they advertised by DCs or by tours operators who are trying to make a cut from these adverts?

this is how they make sale and i personally dont have any problem with it. it open the opportunities for me to ask many more DC for pricing and compare the prices.
Sometime it could end to a more valuable package prices cause we get to talk to them and get to know even more about what the DC could offer.
As for quote operators, best not to go direct with them cause they will of coz include their fee into the packages.
