Hi ppl,

I wanna go wreck and nite dives, so am planning to do advance. Would like to know where's the best and inexpensive place to do it.

Look for place where you can do wreck & night diving while doing Advance.

Tioman...Perhentian...Redang....etc.

Perhentian Might be cheaper then the rest of the place..... I would do it in Tioman as I can get wreck & deep diving as 1 dive ... Night diving...boat diving...drift diving...etc

You can do your AOWD with me

. I won't guarantee it to be cheap, but at least, you'll be paying market price. Perhentian is always a good place for me to conduct my AOWD class. I usually do a wreck dive at Sugar Wreck as part of AOWD but it depends on the sea condition and viz (since Sugar Wreck is more or less in open sea). An alternative is of course the Vietnamese wreck near Perhentian Kecil. Again here current could be strong sometimes.

Night dives can be done just about anywhere. Even the house reef at Teluk Dalam also has lots of stuffs to see at night.

Flora Bay (where I usually go to conduct my AOWD) offers Nitrox so many times, I'll do a Nitrox dive as one of the 5 AOWD certification dives.

Tenggol is one of the best place to do night dives especially the house reef. Plenty, plenty of things to spot. However, I find the accom + dive package there not the cheapest, given the level of service offered

Err, did I read you correctly when you said you did "deep and wreck on 1 dive"?

Hmm, according to PADI standard, AOWD certification dives cannot be combined. So if you're doing a deep wreck dive (i.e. a dive to a wreck sitting at let's say, 24m), it can only be considered either a wreck dive OR a deep dive, for AOWD certification. But not both. For AOWD, you need to do 5 dives altogether - Deep and Underwater Navigation compulsory.

I can conduct AOWD..cheap cheap. Won't mention price here because all other instructors will scream. If you are from KL, better. All dive sites are nearby.

Wreck Dive: not as deep as the deep dive, but you'll be able to see the heavy cruiser Myoko. This is several miles away from Port Klang.

Deep Dive: Only 10m deeper than the wreck dive, we'll be conducting puzzles at the heavy cruiser Takao. Depth: 105m.

Navigation: we'll do it in the vicinity of Pulau Ketam. Here, if you don't listen to instructions carefully and treat this like just another certification ego trip for you, you'll end up in Morib.

Night Dive: We can do it off Tanjung Harapan. As long as it is deeper than 5m and we stay down there longer than 21 minutes. Don't complain if there is nothing to see. It's supposed to be at night. Stop b**ching and have fun diving. At least you know the seafood restaurant is just above you.

Mixed Gas Breathing: we do not offer Nitrox. We offer mixed gas. Normally we ask from the seafood restaurant above to give us the opportunity to try surface-supplied breathing gas.

Hey, since everybody is "advertising", why not come to beautiful Phuket? I'll do your wreck adventure dive on the King Cruiser and your deep just about anyplace else. Nav is no problem--we find a nice shallow bay so you can try your 30m square more than once without running out of air

I just did a wonderful night dive last night at Koh Doc Mai (finishing a AOW with Fish ID, Nav and Night on one dive day). Just naming crabs, we saw a weird decorator crab all covered in bits of yellow sponge, a couple of arrowhead crabs on some fans, a big red reef crab scuttling away, some little polka-dotted coral crabs with their little red claws poking up out of small corals, fuzzy old spider crabs darting in and out of the crevaces in the wall....

...u asked, we answer la, right? The important point is to get the knowledge, and you get your questions answered. However its answered, well, that's really up to the person answering ;D.

To me, it's not really about advertising. If I did a good job with a student during their OWD, they will return for their AOWD. If I did a super excellent job, they will return, with friends. That's the best kind of advertising

Anyway, the market is big enough to accommodate everybody here.

yeah its all with the students & instructors... and how well the instructors teach.. market is surely big enough... but then i still like Quero descriptions... if i have the chance to dive, i will dive in phuket for once. Must go out n see mah and not to say dont support Malaysia.

anyhow the wrecks in perhentian sounds good.. maybe should go for a trip in september.... hahahaha

Its all up to you, depend on your budget. If your budget very low u still can do ur advance. Let say in Perhentian or Redang or any where.

All will be based on your accomodations type. For example in Perhentian Island, with big budget u stay at Arwana or Perhentian Island resort. If small budget, u can stay at samudera, fauna or flora or maybe at Perhentian kecil area which the accomodations quite cheap.

So its all to you.

Can do 3 dives at the same site ... 1 we call it deep diving & 1 we call it wreck diving & 1 we call it boat diving coz diving from boat.

If have current we call it Current Diving ..... & if bad viz we call it Low Viz diving.
