To be a commercial diver...?
« on: May 18, 2007, 07:39:39 PM »

Good day guys!

I am new to the forum. Need some info in joining the commercial diving industry.

Currently a PADI Instructor and wish to switch to commercial diving.

Can anyone give detail regarding the matter? Where to do the course, the cost, time, prerequisites where to do a medical check up and so on....

I have browse through a few websites and found one - Descend Underwater Training Centre, Australia. Any other suggestions?

It would be much appreciated for the info. Thanks.

Jon ::)

How much is the course fee bro?

I usualy fly from KL-Melbourne (MAS) & Melbourne-Launcheston (Virgin Blue) ... buy early is cheaper.

You can ask our very own Mr. Adik ... for flight quote as he have a travel agency.

As for getting your money back ... hmmmmm for sure U will, first job is always the hardest .... rates are good now.

Good day,

The fee AUS 14,999.00 - might increased for 2008. Not sure how much though. The TT exchange rates are a killer!   :o

I just paid the deposit for confirmation.

Thanks for the travel advice. I might wait for the MATA fair to get the super deal fares!  ;D

If they increase the Course Fee.... you still be paying for the old price.

MATA fare wont be able to do 3 month tix ..... when i bought mine, is 1 month or 1 year open tix... still expensive.

bro.. since you have confirmed your placing with TUCT early next year, maybe for the time being you can approach several companies and get an attachment with them as sort of a trainee tender for their Sat team.

just and idea since u still have several months to burn...
