Well that is all to it ... and we cant do much in there, maybe play cards, chess & PSP.

No privacy & living in confined space for long period of time ... you need very strong mind & strong will power.

Cant go out, seeing the same divers for minimum of 28 days, very high risk & slight mistake will cost life.

This is the real deal, feel free to ask question if any.

 :D

I don't envy you at all Snafu.Guess you are one of those who have the right stuff    :notworthy:

Not that I have the right stuff, I dont have much choice when comes to work..limitation of the brain :laughing11:

PPO2 = Partial Pressure of Oxygen .... Oxygen under pressure at depth, NOT PERCENTAGE.

450mb = 450 millibar = 0.45bar of Oxygen under pressure.

Recreational/Technical diving runs between 1.4-1.5bar PPO2 & decompression at 1.6bar PPO2

Seasir : Thanks bro!!!

In other words, it is a hypoxic mix. He will sound like Donald Duck for the duration. About 5% O2 only in his breathing air.

What no-one has mentioned is that when breathing these specialist gases the best prepared food in the world tastes like cardboard, so SNAFU will miss the taste of spicy sambal, will have to rely on memories of Mary cooking on Kaleepso or carry a picture book of tasty dishes..............that would be the final straw to prevent me doing sat diving...that and old age :icon_rr: :D

Snafu, all the best to your training. Be safe and Selamat Hari Raya.

Thanks for the photos showing your humble abode and your training-cum-work place..... I guess life as an aquanaut is almost the same as an astronaut..... :)

Hehehehehehe... will put up more pic for all when I have a bit more time.

Food & drinks taste a bit flat in the chamber, the deeper the storage depth...food dont taste great.

I hope you all enjoy a bit of my training pic & Tasmania ..... I like Aquanauts better the Astronauts.

well done...snafu....

I am back again in Tasmania to do Saturation Diving Course ... 3 weeks.

Some picture from Sheffield, is a small town in Tasmania.

Hotel Sheffield ... I am in Room No. 1, thanks to Snafuette for the booking.

Such a busy road eh ... is very cold, wet & bloody windy!!!!

Road to Lake Cethana .... 20 minutes from Sheffield town, I like the view.

Next will be Lake Cethana ... where the training is.

Next time around will be the Trunking, Transfer Lock & Main Chamber ...... AQUAnauts 'home' Living in Pressurize Enviroment!!!!!

Astronauts deal with only 1 bar of pressure.
Aquanauts? Up to 10 bars?

yeah, i agree with you! on the first dive i kinda forget to check my hot water connection and didnt realize it was disconnected at 48m with icy cold water. my hand was experiencing extreme pain and my body was shaking from the cold!  [-(

after that, i keep checking my hot water connection every few minutes!!! to make sure it is connected all the time!  :D
